<div align="center">vs</div> <font color=""Navy"">New Jersey Nets(28-35) </font> @ <font color=""royalblue"">Memphis Grizzlies</font>(16-48) Time: Monday, March 12th, 2007 8:00 EST TV: YES Away/Home Tonight, the struggling Nets, who are on a 5 game losing streak, face the league's worst team, the Memphis Grizzlies, who ended a 6 game skid of their own, on Saturday against Charlotte. With Jason Kidd shooting 27% and Vince Carter shooting 33% during the Nets' skid, you really can't expect the team to win any games. Tonight is do-or-die for the Nets. If they win, they can pass New York in the standings (YES, THE KNICKS!!!), and that's only if Isiah's team loses their own game. Meanwhile, Memphis has had it's own problems. With the team playing like a D-League squad and their only star, Pau Gasol, wanting out, the future looks bad for the Grizz. They ended a long losing streak against the Bobcats, and currently have a win behind them that the Nets don't. Can they use that as a stepping stone on the way to a win tonight? Starting Lineups: New Jersey Nets: PG:Jason Kidd SG:Vince Carter SF:Bostjan Nachbar PF:Jason Collins C:Mikki Moore Memphis Grizzlies: PGamon Stoudamire SG:Rudy Gay SF:Mike Miller PF:Hakim Warrick C:Pau Gasol *Key players in bold Keys to the Game: -The big men need to keep a hand in Gasol's face at all times. He's not much of a banger and prefers to shoot from free throw range more than posting up, so you've got to contain him tightly at all times in order to prevent shot after shot falling into the bucket. -Perimeter defense. Stoudamire and Miller are great three point shooters, so guarding them up close and preveting an easy three pointer is important. -Vince Carter needs to drive to the basket and make some layups instead of settling for the outside shot. Driving and squeezing some fouls out of Gasol never hurt anyone. Prediction: Nets+4
<div class="quote_poster">Carter Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">We will lose by 50 plus.</div> Look who you're opponent is, the Memphis Grizzlies. They have the talent to hang with anyone in the league, even without Shane Battier, all because Pau Gasol is such a dominant post player, but at this point in the season, they're in full tank mode and won't be giving Gasol, Miller, or any of their big guns the playing time. Just look at tonight's game so far. Terrance Kinsey has played more minutes than Mike Miller! Who!?! You've got to love such blatant tanking...
