<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Nenad Krstic, who has been tethered to trainers and rehab specialists for five weeks, was actually subjected to basketball drills the last two days -- with encouraging results. "I am really happy," the Nets' center said after having a long, fullcourt workout conducted by Assistant Coach Jim Sann yesterday. "At first, the progress was really slow. Now it's really going faster. I'm really getting closer to being back for playing time." He could only say this much about when he might return, "Not months. Weeks," he said. "Honestly, it is hard to say. I don't want to say I'm coming back in two weeks and then I'm not. So I hope it is very soon, so I can help the team." Lawrence Frank didn't give a very comprehensive report because that leads to things like timetables. "You just hope for his own good," the coach said, "because he is such a good person, because he is such a diligent worker that he is able to get back on the floo,r and he's able to play."</div> Source
Good news. Nenad could get a nice inside-outside game going with SWat and Boone now that they are getting some PT. The only problem will be that we have to go threw this whole line up thing again.

Except Krstic could play better defense. And not give wide open layups 90% of the time.
Krstic just means less time for Allen and Collins. Frank finally see's what 90 percent of Nets fans saw at the beginning that Boone and Williams are ready.
Consider me vice president of the "When he comes back, keep him in a bench role" club for Krstic. Fully healthy, we'll need him for 30+ minutes a game, but I think he makes more sense off the bench.
ya krstic will bring solid offense off the bench for us. keep the boone/swat lineup unless if all the sudden they struggle for a long stretch. i think frank would like to put krstic in for swat, but with the way sean and josh are playing there is no need to rush him back and ruin the chemistry we have so far with our 5. would be nice to have krstic's scoring and magloires rebounding off the bench, but the chances of that happening are slim to none. who knows if magloire will even be around by the time krstic plays like the old krstic
im not holding my breath. he's still most likely going to be rusty and who knows if he;ll get his confidence back this season.
