Ratner continues to tear down buildings at the site however.

Wait Until 2010, Nets Say of New Brooklyn Arena - - New York Times

Nets Daily

If only we could find someone like Jason Kidd, a real leader through thick and thin... oh wait, nobody wants to play in Jersey, not even him!
And remember, the last guy that didn't want to play in Toronto is now weighing your team down.
But let's be real here, it really isn't the city's fault. I'm sure it's filled within wonderful, yet slightly-deformed folks who care about local professional sports so much they purposely abstain from games in-order to deliver a message to management, kudos. But who really wants to play for a team that probably won't make the playoffs?

I could understand you saying no one wanting to play basketball in Canada because most players probably dont want to, I dont understand why, I think Toronto is a top 5-10 city in N.America if not the world. If your trying to make a seperate point for hockey and players not wanting to play for the Leafs then I dont know whats wrong with you, a large percent of players in the NHL are from Canada and would love to play for a franchise with such a rich history its just our management for the Maple Leafs is horrible right now....anyways I could go on forever about hockey so ill stop it at that. I got a question, why didnt the Nets make the move with the Devils to the new arena? Are the renovations anything special in the Izod Centre, like what have they done to improve the experiance from a fans perspective?
