Nets pull of Win over Sactown, Kidd with TripleDouble Besides racking about 5 assists in the first half, kidd was relatively quiet. He finished the game, though, with a triple double 19-10-11, including a couple clutch shots down the stretch, that extended their just earned, tenuous lead on the kings. Vince Carter was relatively quiet the whole game, shooting 7-22, but make a couple shots and laups in the fourth quarter that kept the game close. He also skied high for a couple of key rebounds, and then late in the game got steal off mobley, and fed Best for the dagger 3. Nenad Krstic got off to a great start and kept the nets in the game for the first two and half quarters, scoring a career high 18 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Jason Collins pulled down 13 rebounds, and helped the nets actually outrebound the kings 48-37. He also drove the lane a couple times for layups Cliff Robinson played his first game for the nets, and contrary to reports of his poor rebounding, had 7 rebounds in 23 minutes. But he is still the perimeter oriented forward he is known to be, scoring 9 all on 3pters. On a whole, the Nets Big men snatched boards, and kept Webber and Miller ineffective, 6-20 and 2-10 respectively, while keeping the nets in the game with stretches of scoring and key 3's. Then Jason Kidd, with the help of carter and best, finished the game off with clutch plays and shots.
great game for nened in the beginning, got his new career high in points... carter struggling from the field but still gets his 20+ points for 12th straight game.. nets went on a big run in end of 4th quarter to give them a big win against the kings.

Congrats to the Nets and the way they turned their organization around! (does toronto management get any sleep now adays? LOL) I like Kidd and I like carter and I think thell make the 8th spot in the playoffs. and with kidd and carter in the playoffs almost anything can happen. CONGRATS to the nets and all of their fans.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting nextlevelgame:</div><div class="quote_post">Cliff does play very good defense.</div> He was definately disrupting Brad Miller in the 4th quarter. He missed something like 6 sraight shots during that time period. Cliff was being extremely phsyical. And just getting under his skin, Brad Miller complained to the refs about 2 or 3 trips. And they showed when Krstic went to guard Miller, Robinson called Krstic off & said "I got Miller get out of the post". So he is already taking a defensive leadership role on this team, something we defenately need, especially when its a post defender. Anyway, Nenad had an excellent game. I definately think you could see the wear & tear on the Kings' bigs who are pretty much limping to the all-star break, especially Webber. And the Nets did an excellent job of out hustling those cats on the boards. Travis Best made some big shots in the 4th quarter. The thing I have been most impressed with this year with T.Best is the fact that he is always ready when Coach Franks calls his #. He has fell out the regular rotation several times this year. But once the opportunity calls, he steps up. And once again tonight in the 4th quarter using the screen & roll at the top of the key. And also that three on the baseline when VC kicked it out of the double. I hope my man T.Best can stay apart of the rotation consistently. But Coach Frank pretty much keeps you guessing going with the hot hand, some nights it will be Best & Mercer, some nights it will be Vaughn & Billy T, but its working so I dont have a problem with it.

Great job by the team defensively and on the boards tonight. Krstic has proved his worth this season, and even though he's hit the rookie wall, he'll always have great games like tonight this season. J-Kidd was really great tonight, and he did a great all-around job. VC may not have had a good shooting night, but he still managed to score 21 points, and also had some nice passing moments throughout the game. But he really got messed up by the Kings when he missed the dunk off the alley-oop, took the rebound, and got blocked. Collins really helped out with the rebounding too, and Cliff proved he's still a defensive beast and a great three-point shooter. The team is really shaping up to be a contender again.
