Nets lead by 9 at halftime, and it just grew up to 26 until it almost the entire fourth quarter became garbage time. If not for mr. offense, rodney white, this game would have been a 30+ point blow out. Maybe the nuggets should have put him in earlier [IMG]

I knew that Kenyon would always help the Nets. Too bad we only get to see him on the floor twice a year [IMG]. I hope you all catch my sarcasm.

On another note, I liked what I saw from the Nets, they did not rely only on Carter's scoring, they had a fairly balanced attack, which was really supplanted by the play of Best and Mercer.

Well it was a good win by NJ. I am surprised at Martin though. He usually steps up in these kinds of situations and especially since there is so much emotion and memories involved. The Nets are moving up though and got a good home win and are really gaining some confidence from these kinds of victories.

just wasn't the nuggets day, but i think this is the most complete team game the nets have played. I think the key stat the 36 field goals made on 31 assists, that's huge, and another argument for a great team game. It's always nice to have your best players rest the fourth quarter [IMG]

K-Mart played well in the 1st quarter. But once Denver had a hard time getting into their offensive sets, he just stood out on the perimeter taking long jumps. And while K-Mart can make that 18 footer, us Net fans know his strong suit is getting the ball around the hoop on back cuts, guard penetration or cleaning up the offensive boards. But Denver's ball movement & offensive execution was so poor, K-Mart really couldnt get invloved. Anyway, that looked like the pre-Goerge Karl Nuggets, with the continous turnovers and poor shot selection. I think it all started down hill for Denver when they left Melo and Martin on the bench for like the first 7 minutes of the 2nd quarter. They never established a rythm again in that game.

Anyway, lets talk about the Nets.....I think T. Best was a major spark for us off the bench. He came in the 1st half when the game was back & forth. And shot the ball well from the perimeter. And also put excellent pressure on the Denver Nuggets point guards in particular Earl Boykins. And caused several turnovers in that first half which game us the cushion going into half. And in the 2nd half Vince was able to insert himself offensively, which led to a whole lot of 4th quarter garabage time. But the 1st half play of Travis was the real key imo, tonight.

it was a blowout in the 2nd half... it was a high scoring game and both teams were really hot in 1st quarter but nets gained control in 2nd half... that definately wasnt the game kmart had in mind

I'm not, Kmart has faded a lot of times throughout his career. Other Game 4 of the Finals against the Lakers, he hasn't stepped up much in the playoffs.

a blessing for the nets is the fact that different role/bench players have stepped it up throughout the season. and when one goes down, another (or 2) come up. it's been great for the nets, and it's either a testament to their individual training, lawrence frank's coaching system (always keeping players fresh and adjusted to the nets system-- whether they play big minutes, small, or none), or jason kidd's ability to create player out of scrubs... or all of them, which seems likely.

yeah, with all the new part & pieaces, you can definately tell that Coach Frank has simplified the Nets offensive system to make it easier for these guys cause the old system which was first brought about by Eddie Jordan & Bryon Scott had alot more motion, body/ball movement & backdoor plays. But he has simplified it to alot of isolations for Vince on the perimeter or Kidd in the post to make it easier to create for guys like Thomas, JV, Mercer etc...I like it but it does require Kidd & Carter to carry or shoulder alot of the load. A bad game from one of those two as far as creating for others, we stand no chance of winning that game honestly.
