<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Byron Scott, not exactly known for burning the midnight oil watching game film, was able to glean something from seeing the Nets play live at San Antonio this week and perusing some of their games. Their offense has become predictable.

"The ball is in two guys' hands 90 percent of the time," Scott, the former Nets coach, said of Jason Kidd and Vince Carter.

The Nets (27-35) don't run their motion offense as much. Nets coach Lawrence Frank said due to do the changes in personnel last summer and within this season, they haven't had as much time to learn it.

In games such as New Jersey's 86-85 overtime win over Scott's Hornets on Wednesday night - in which Kidd scored the winning points with 2.5 seconds left - the Nets' offense for much of the second half was give Carter the ball and let him go to work. Carter, playing with a bum hand, missed eight of his last nine shots.

"[They have] Jason in the post backing people down and the guys on the weak side are going to play off of him," Scott said. "It's the same with Vince. I think the offense is a little bit different. They still have the motion, but they're looking to get it to those guys with some motion and then let them go to work."</div> Source

Nets role players has been nothing this year hence why they are predictable.

Buford and Scalabrine has been decent.

Yeah, our offense is pretty predictable this year with the two man game. But alot of our half-court sets under Byron Scott were pretty predictable as well. Everybody knew in the half-court, we setup the princeton motion offense. Detriot last year knew our half court play calling like they was in the timeout huddles with coach Scott calling plays. Its just that in the past we could get away with being predictable in the half-court cause we had the fastbreak opencourt game as our main weapon. But with the lack of athletes this year the running style just isnt an option, really.

Scott: Trust says that Scott is predictable without Eddie Jordan and Lawrence Frank.

We all know that the two assistants at that time was the key to their success.
