Don't count on it happening, he wouldn't pass the physical. [IMG]

He's a cancer. I thought he would provide big things in 2003-2004 being a 2nd option for VC after averaging 16 PPG in his previous season of play, but he's just been a huge dissapointment. Just waive him, I dont want him.

    LOL. [IMG]

Anyways, I don't think Thorn would trade a gatorade bottle for Murray, let alone 2. That's too much. Maybe something along the lines of chip crums and a broken pencil. Even that would be hard to give up for Lammond Murray.

Dream come true [IMG]. I too thought that adding Lamond on our roster would help our team.

    Boy was I wrong....

Lamond is a decent player but he doesnt fit with the Raptors, atleast not what their going for at this time. I hope we could get someone useful like Clifford Robinson or possibly Jacque Vaughn or Jeff McInnis?

lammond can score, well sometimes he can and other times he can be a diva. imagine if the nets got lammond-jason kidd would be reunited with his college teammate; plus vince and he would provide the nets with two lockdown defenders.

anyways, i kinda like lammond because he was one the handful of raptors in history to bring his kids down to toronto and enroll them in our public schools. remember antonio davis had concerns about our education system.

This comment really bothers me. To cheapen someone and say the he is worth a broken pencil only because he doesn't play as well as expected is totally unfair...

....he is worth at least a mechanical pencil. [IMG]

What is Lammond Murray's salary like? Would trading him for a 2nd Round draft pick and another player be feasible?

I would not trade any of those players for Murray. I dunno, maybe Zoran or a 2nd round pick.

He has $5,250,000 left in his final year (this year). The Nets do have a trade exception, which they retained after the SAR trade fell apart. I think the TE is close to $6M, so the Raptors would definitely be interested in it. A second round pick plus the TE, Ron Mercer plus the TE, Jacques Vaughn plus the TE, will all work.

We need to take a new approach on this one ... I think we can still get that one bottle of gatorade if we throw in eric williams. Then we can make way to trade richard jefferson straight up for vince's mom's old parking spot.

Considering Vince was also mentioned in that lockdown defender sentence, I'd assume it was a joke.

Like Shape said, he wouldn't pass the physical, he was injured 3 years ago, so something has to be wrong with him inside that only the Nets can find.

I thought the Nets gave away the TE for Jackson Shape?

Anyway, if this rumour is true, I will presonally kick Rod Thorn in the balls...

They did use the trade exception on Jackson. The Nets are not looking to give up anything for Murray...the interest only comes from the reports that either Aaron Williams or Murray is expected to be releashed by the Raptors. If Murray doesnt get released then the Nets will go on with plans of getting either Wesley Person, Jason Kapono, or I hope DeMarr Johnson. But they have no plans on trading for Murray, they are interested in seeing him get cut.And then they will go after him.

They want him only if he gonna be waived.
i think we need his ability to shot the ball from behind the arc, if Babs want to waive some player it's gonna be Eric Williams.
