<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>In our twelfth Off-Season Report–has it been that long since the Nets beat the Bobcats in overtime–we take a look at Yi Jianlian’s travel plans, the Nets’ surprising increase in long term salary committments, some odds and ends of free agency, the coaching carousel and (personal guru) John Hollinger’s worst new contract. Oh yeah, the summer league too.</div> NetsDaily Off-Season Report #12 - Net Income - NetsDaily Blog I'll be looking forward to this after dinner. Although I had to look ahead to Hollinger's hating on a contract agreed upon this offseason. I loved it, haha...and I'm sure Joker will love it too
The bald buffoon again demonstrates he knows nothing about the actual game <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>“The worst midlevel signing this summer? As of now, that honor goes to Diop, to whom the Mavs offered a five-year deal for the full midlevel a mere four months after happily including him as a throw-in in the Jason Kidd trade with New Jersey. If you’re scoring at home, yes, this is a red flag that the Mavs still don’t know whether they’re coming or going.”</div> Dallas didn't happily include him as a thrown-in.
For those of you still wondering about the big man coach, here's a possibility: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NI)</div><div class='quotemain'>Coaching Carousel. Pat Sullivan is gone, replaced by Doug Overton. Bill Cartwright is gone, replaced by?? The Nets brought in Roy Rogers, the shot-blocking former Alabama and NBA player, for a tryout. Rogers would fill the big man coaching slot, which takes on added importance now that the team has five players 6'10 or taller and 23 years old or younger: Boone, Sean Williams, Yi, Brook Lopez, and Anderson. Rogers has coached in the NBDL and ABA. Other possibilities, reports Dave D’Alessandro, are coaching associate Jim Sann and scout Paul Cormier.</div> When I first read it, I thought it said Rodney Rogers, haha. Imagine having him back on the bench... BTW, Dumpy - what's this about? Did you get permission to watch the Summer League games? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NI)</div><div class='quotemain'>Also, NetsDaily will be represented in Orlando by our intrepid stats guru, Dumpy, who is learning to operate heavy machinery in order to get us audio and video of Friday’s game.</div>
Dumpy, please conk George and Dante's heads together like Moe does to Larry and Curly. I promise GMJigga will bail you out of jail.
If by "bail" you mean "hire Denny Crane" then yeah I got this. haha great article NI (I assume?) I always enjoy reading these. Very well written, and informative; while much of this I'm already familiar with I still enjoy reading a well summarized recap of the recent activities. Oh, and I also enjoy finding out when Dumpy gets to view the Summer League in person. Dare I say...hand written Nets haikus + emailed ones?
We contacted the Nets and they were kind enough to permit me to attend. Right now I am scrambling to get a digital camera from a neighbor. If I can borrow one that can record short video clips. . . . all the better. But only if I can figure out how to use it. And no, I am NOT going to kick George or Dante in the nuts! I hope Vince will be there, so I can personally challenge him to a footrace.
awesome, that is great that you have permission to go Dumpy! Have a good time, can't wait, I'm really excited and as always, excellent blog NI. Your Yi blog was amazing too! (I recommend everyone read that one too)

He's super athletic and a shot blocking machine, but not much else. His basketball skills are limited. He's nuts, in a fun way, always partied with the fans after home games. Hey, old fella. WELCOME TO 2008! Digital cameras come in boxes of cereal now. Just go one of those Florida Wal-Marts that are big enough to have their own atmospheres and drop a few bucks on one.

I borrowed one from my father, but it is a total piece of crap. I could bring my once-state-of-the-art-but-now-obsolete Nikon, with my $2,000 worth of lenses and $350 flash, but I'd look like a dinosaur--and my slide/negative scanner doesn't work with Vista anyway. Thanks, HP.
Worse comes to worse you can use the camera in your cell phone... if it has one. I sometimes forget mine has a camera.

They take pictures of stuff you don't even see.
