For those of you still wondering about the big man coach, here's a possibility:

Rogers would fill the big man coaching slot, which takes on added importance now that the team has five players 6'10 or taller and 23 years old or younger: Boone, Sean Williams, Yi, Brook Lopez, and Anderson. Rogers has coached in the NBDL and ABA.

Other possibilities, reports Dave D’Alessandro, are coaching associate Jim Sann and scout Paul Cormier.</div>

When I first read it, I thought it said Rodney Rogers, haha. Imagine having him back on the bench...

haha great article NI (I assume?) I always enjoy reading these. Very well written, and informative; while much of this I'm already familiar with I still enjoy reading a well summarized recap of the recent activities. Oh, and I also enjoy finding out when Dumpy gets to view the Summer League in person. Dare I say...hand written Nets haikus + emailed ones?

 

We contacted the Nets and they were kind enough to permit me to attend. Right now I am scrambling to get a digital camera from a neighbor. If I can borrow one that can record short video clips. . . . all the better. But only if I can figure out how to use it.

And no, I am NOT going to kick George or Dante in the nuts!

I hope Vince will be there, so I can personally challenge him to a footrace.

Wow congrats Dumpy! That's pretty awesome of the Nets to allow fans (well of course, you're a fan with special talents) to participate in events like this. Have fun, and I can't wait for your reports!

Slaughter played for Hapoel Jerusalem this past season...he joined midseason and was kicked off the team a few weeks later because he reportedly spent time with a prostitute while staying with the team in France for a ULEB CUP game. He's super athletic and a shot blocking machine, but not much else. His basketball skills are limited. He's nuts, in a fun way, always partied with the fans after home games. Check it out:

Just go one of those Florida Wal-Marts that are big enough to have their own atmospheres and drop a few bucks on one.

unfortunately, mine is in Bermuda for the rest of the week. I borrowed one from my father, but it is a total piece of crap.

I could bring my once-state-of-the-art-but-now-obsolete Nikon, with my $2,000 worth of lenses and $350 flash, but I'd look like a dinosaur--and my slide/negative scanner doesn't work with Vista anyway. Thanks, HP.

 

Worse comes to worse you can use the camera in your cell phone... if it has one. I sometimes forget mine has a camera.

You can get a nice one for $80 or so and just give it to your oldest kid.

There's nothing cooler than giving a digital camera to a kid. They take pictures of stuff you don't even see.
