With the addition of the new ball the game are going to be more consistent. For shooters especially. Part of the reason shooters are so inconsistent is because the ball is made out of pig skin. All pigs are not created equal therefore all balls are not created equal. Sometime, and the players will tell you this too, the balls are too soft or too hard or too heavy or too rough. Now every ball is going to be the exact same. The ball you practice with every day at home is the same ball you play with in the game. With that in mind expect high volume shooters like Dirk, Kobe, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce to have less "offnights" and better percentages.Just thought I put that out since everyone is complaining about the ball.

Less missed freethrows too BTW.
I doubt that.. unless they practice some people (shaq) wont make it periodBut i liked the old design of the ball, and i dont really have an opinion on the new ball but if it helps our favorite all stars shoot better, i like it better...plus its sweat proof/resistent or whatever, so late in the game when people are sweating like crazy it wont affect the ballthanks for the reminder<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (iversonfan268 @ Jul 7 2006, 04:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Didn't thye say the new ball was supposed to bring down fg %???</div>If it does then they can just blame the new ball :bat:
I honestly don't see what the big deal is about switching the balls... I mean, who the hell really cares how the ball looks? Damn... if the players don't like it (haven't heard any player reactions yet), then they can quit the league.
does ne1 hav a pic of the ball so i can check it out, i think it will help the player % so im all for it and high scoring games

A volume shooter is Antoine Walker or Allen Iverson.

Therefore if he practices he will be one of the ones who will have a FG%increase.
I dont know how much that is going to affect a shot. A basketball is a basketball. Players would get used to the old ones anyway, and they couldnt make that much of a difference either. Not that big of a deal. I know that I dont always user the same ball, and I dont give a sh*t. Their NBA players, they should be able to throw a ball in a hoop, even if it is a bit different. Doesnt matter.
This effort to make basketball a more offensive game will mark the decline of the NBA. Defense should reign in the NBA - the next years are gonna suck for defensive teams because everytime you touch a shooter it's going to be a foul. Basketball is becoming more and more of a pussy sport...it sucks!
im ok with the new ball but im confused will it increase percentages or decrease it because i have heard both,as for the design i think it looks cool but the old nba ball was fine the way it was..why change it?

I just don't see why to change it at all.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Defense should reign in the NBA - the next years are gonna suck for defensive teams because everytime you touch a shooter it's going to be a foul.Basketball is becoming more and more of a pussy sport...it sucks!</div>I agree to some extent, while I enjoy watching high scoring games I also don't like to see a foul called every second.
