Now that Mike Brown will indeed become the next head coach of the Lakers, a few potential assistant coaching names have begun to trickle out.

According to Eric Pincus of HOOPSWORLD, "Brown may bring in Italian coach Ettore Messina as an assistant."

"Messina is considered one of the top European coaches but he's been looking to break into the NBA for some time now," added Pincus.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports tweeted Wednesday that Brown is "expected to make bid for well-regarded Dallas assistant Tim Grgurich to join Lakers staff, sources say. They're close friends."

Wojnarowski also added via Twitter that Lakers assistant Chuck Person could remain because Brown and Person have a "good relationship" from their time together on the Pacers' staff.

"Brown still doesn't have budget for hiring assistants, source says," Wojnarowski also tweeted. "With LA cutting costs, it remains a question who's affordable for staff."

So while there are some names tossed out here, it's possible nothing may be fully decided until a budget is figured out.

Getting Tim Grgurich would be fantastic.
