<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">At least this time, the change was by design. Coach Scott Skiles -- who will introduce his new-look Bulls to the media Monday night, the eve of the team's training camp -- remembers just how unsettled his squad was right before its meet-the-press session last fall.

By the end of the night last Oct. 4, Bulls general manager John Paxson traded Eddy Curry and his heart controversy, along with Antonio Davis, to the New York Knicks. In exchange, the Bulls received Michael Sweetney, Tim Thomas, Jermaine Jackson and a package of draft picks.

''When we talked to the guys at our meeting, John had not done the deal yet,'' Skiles said. ''It went from John telling the guys, 'I don't know what's going to happen,' to 20 minutes later they're down there talking to [the media].

''It took us awhile to process all that and get through that. John and I knew it was going to have an effect on our guys, and it did. So we feel that even though we have new faces this year, we feel like we have stability within the organization.''

The Curry trade accounted for several of the seven different faces on this team. Paxson used the No. 2 overall pick from the Knicks to tab Texas center LaMarcus Aldridge, then traded him to the Portland Trail Blazers for LSU forward Tyrus Thomas and Viktor Khryapa.

Paxson also made another draft-day trade, sending the No. 16 pick and $1 million to get 6-7 guard Thabo Sefolosha, who was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers.</div>
