Does Cohan want to sell the team and are there any willing buyers? With practically every player coming off the books after 2005 (with the exception of Eschmeyer), you would think this is the best time to sell the team. Now this is just a thought, or I should say, a dream within a dream that Cohan sells the team to somebody that gives a damn and knows basketball and is a fan. I mean Cohan the Barbarian is making tons of money by penny pinching on the front office staff and coaches and the fans haven't gotten the satisfication of making the playoffs in a decade. I said it before on another forum, they should hang Cohan's body up high in the arena where they can dangle his corpse to get the crowd on its feet. Just a rant. Anybody hear rumors about any takers?
I never heard any rumors but it would be a good idea. It'd be even better if St. Jean would be fired, icing to the cake, ain't it?
Let's take it to the fans. I vote for a green bay packer's type deal. Incorporate a group and have the fans buy the team. What other team has faithful fans who support such a horrible team.
I vote we just give Cohan 10 years worth of ass woopin's like the Warriors received when it came to making a playoff-bound season record. Bats and nail boards are allowed.

Why wont Cohan realize he would make even more money if the team made the playoffs. I wish we had a owner like Cuban, Deluths, whatever.

I pray that all the former warrior greats put their money together into buying the team. That would be sweeeeeet. I doubt that will happen though because you need a good businessmen to run everything from ticket sales to getting corporate sponsors. A good business idea is where would you put the team in the bay area that has the most corporate headquarters? If you knew that you'd sell out every luxury suite at the arena and make a ton of money. It's probably not in Oakland.
I would love to call the Warriors, the Oakland warriors. But I don't know if it would detract corporate sponsors and business partners with that name. But Golden State sounds just funny. That's why I never refer to the Warriors as Golden State. It's just Warriors.

I don't think Cohan would sell the team just because the fans still go to the games and shell out big money for seats. Let's face it, we love our team too much (unlike the Hawks). If you go to a GSW game, there aren't many empty seats are there? I'm sure if this team was hemorraging money then Cohan would want to sell.
I say we take Michagan State's unis and just have The State on the jersey's on the road at least. I know JRich would be all for it. And drop the Orange and the Power Ranger. Maybe use the CA state flag's color's I wouldn't even mind a Bear on the court. But drop the Golden State, Drop Thunder, and Get rid of the lighting theme please.
