I don't know about you, but I'm really looking forward to Monday Night Football this season. The new crew in the box, Joe Theismann, Tony Kornholer, and (Chelsea, Michigan's own) Mike Tirico had their first practice a couple of weeks ago. Here's a USA Today account of the practice.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>May 26, USA Today: A handful of ESPN higher-ups watched Kornheiser, Joe Theismann and Mike Tirico in their first rehearsals Wednesday for the ESPN's three-man booth for Monday NFL games, moving from ABC to ESPN next season. They used the studio of Pardon the Interruption to call a game taped last season. Kornheiser, co-host of ESPN's PTI but a raw rookie on games, made ESPN executive vice presidents John Skipper and John Walsh chortle in the control room. Producer Jay Rothman seemed thrilled: "It was scary good. Good enough to put on the air, right out of the box. We're ecstatic, to be honest."</div>

Man, if a sniper would just shoot thiesman, this could be one sweet booth. Maybe, LT will break his leg on way to booth!

haha I don't know one person that likes Thiesman. I do however like Tony Kornheiser and am looking forward to him in the booth. Trico is a great play by play caller, especially for football.

Theismann's a moron. He's the reason I won't watch MNF this year. If the Packers are on MNF, I'll watch the game with the sound off and with the radio commentary on.

I am mixed about Kornheiser, but agree that Joey T is an idiot. I don't mind Tirico but he yells too much of the time.

    I will miss Paul Maguire.

WWE Raw always takes preference unless the 'phins are playing.

Who thinks of Hiring Theisman? God I hope his contract is only a one year deal, heack Id rather listen to Dennis Miller than Theisman. Trico and Kornheiser are both very good in my opinion so Im excited about them now if only they can get rid of that whiney Theisman son of a gun
