Though neither received serious consideration for rookie of the year honors, New Orleans Hornets rookie guards Darren Collison and Marcus Thornton were recognized for their surprising seasons on Friday with Collison named to the first team of the NBA's All-Rookie squad, while Thornton got second-team honors. They become the first rookie tandem so honored in franchise history, after they combined to become the most prolific pair of rookie scorers ever for the Hornets. "Darren and Marcus have been great for us all season," Hornets General Manager Jeff Bower said, "on and off the court. It's great for them to be honored as All-Rookie members. They are two special basketball players and have bright futures ahead of them." http://www.nola.com/hornets/index.ssf/2010/04/new_orleans_hornets_darren_col_3.html
