The new NBA rookie rankings were just released for this week, and Dwyane Wade has passed Carmelo Anthony to take over the #2 spot right behind LeBron. Last week Wade was ranked #4 and has jumped two spots. This is great news, and mabye Wade will finally get the recognition that he deserves. Everyone only talks about LeBron and Carmelo, even though Dwyane Wade is JUST AS good, hopefully this will finally change. Here is the link: http://www.nba.com/milk_rookie/rookie_rankings_031215.html
Hmmm. I saw the rankings yesterday, but they didn't take into account some of the most recent games, such as Melo's game winner. I think Wade is doing great, and deserves some recognition, but I don't necessarily think he's been doing better than Carmelo. I DO think that Wade shouldn't have been lower than 3 though, so congrats to him.
*Predicts another Bron-Melo debate* First, I want to know why Kirk Hinrich is not in the top ten. Secondly, why isn't Josh Howard higher? I guess people don't realize how it would be be to play the run-and-gun offense that the Mavs game consists of.
I think Howard isn't higher for the same reason Melo got a bad rap: the rankings didn't take into account some of the most recent games. So they only had that one big career night for him, rather than several good nights of scoring. And they didn't take into account Hinrich's 21 pt, 10 assist game, which easily would have put him in the top 7 or 8.
