The bench had more fire power than Bologna was able to trot out and they still lost it? Milan needs to start buying youth because their old guys aren't doing it for them anymore.
Not surprising at all to be honest. Milan just don't have the right manager for what they're trying to accomplish. \I agree with Agoo that they need to concentrate more on youth. They really don't need to sign a lot of players, but they need more players that compliment each other on the pitch. Kaká and Ronaldinho is not going to work out, so they may as well cash in on Kaká since they just brought in Ronny. Not that I'm saying they should transfer Kaká, but they've dug themselves a bit of a hole with this summer's transfers. We all know there are plenty of great young players in smaller markets right now that Milan could attempt to sign. We've posted so many in the Young football up-and-comers thread. It seems apparent that Carlo Ancelotti isn't as sharp as he used to be. Players that definitely need to go: Dida BRA Emerson BRA Giuseppe Favalli ITA Željko Kalac AUS Kakha Kaladze GEO Massimo Oddo ITA Clarence Seedorf NED Players that should be transfered while they can still make solid profits from: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang FRA Willy Aubameyang FRA Gennaro Gattuso ITA Alessandro Nesta ITA Just retire already: Paolo Maldini ITA Concentrate on: Marco Borriello ITA Mathias Cardacio URU Mathieu Flamini FRA Yoann Gourcuff FRA Alexandre Pato BRA Philippe Senderos SUI Tabaré Viudez URU Bring in players like: Igor Akinfeev RUS Dmytro Chygrynskiy UKR Lorenzo De Silvestri ITA Guilherme BRA Lulinha BRA Dimitri Payet FRA
Gattuso is a quality player and I don't think he will lose his talent that quick, lol at just retire allready.
He's been on the transfer list since last winter. Nobody wants to shell out the cash Milan wants in return. Gattuso also mentioned months ago that he would like to play in the UK again. As much as a fan favorite he is in Milan, I don't see him staying much longer.
I don't know honestly. If he didn't have such interests I'd say Milan should keep him, but you don't want a player on your team whose mind is elsewhere, you know? I believe Blackburn were interested first, as were Rangers. However, I remember that Rangers decided to go another direction and Blackburn won't pay more then €8m for him. I believe Milan wanted €15m or so. That's nearly double what Blackburn were offering. I personally think he's worth around €12m. He may be 30-years-old, but he's still a hard-working midfielder with unlimited energy. Perhaps he should go to Everton?
