I was listening to one hockey show, and they were talking about that teams would be killing themselves to get Trochek. If you offered up a number 1, top center prospect and a good lefty d-man prospect I would consider it. I also think you have to look at a Fox return. I really like Yakemchuk as a d-man prospect for Ottawa. You’re gonna have to eat half of Fox’s salary, because they have no cap room and you have to take back somebody like Pinto in the deal. Probably get some picks back also.

Maybe another team would try and make Miller a forward. If you could get a high 2nd for him I'd take it.

You have to get a first and a good center prospect back for Miller considering his age and talent. He wasn't nearly as bad previously as he has been this year but the entire team fucking sucks. 5th defenseman types get back 2nd round picks at the deadline. Thus, why Drury should have waited to deal Kakko to until the deadline. Yakemchuk has a chance to be a two way defenseman star with size and a mean streak. However, I'm not sure Ottawa is in a position to wait 3-4 years for that to happen. Fox would be ideal for them. Chabot and Sanderson are not PP QB's. There is a deal to be made there if Drury has the balls to do it. Fox could be a dick and refuse to go. Seems to be a trend with the overpaid vet Rangers. Either way, there is no small rebuild. This will be massive as the organization must find a way to get at least 2, young, top center prospects in here to go long term with Lafreniere, Cuylle, Othmann and Perreault.

I seriously doubt Drury is the right guy to do a rebuild. My guess is if he doesn't make the playoffs, Dolan will fire him. So expect a dumbass trade adding going forward. Further weakening our dog shit farm system.

They need to stop drafting all these six-foot seven guys and start drafting a lot more speed. They look slow versus these teams.

Might as well want to consider moving that overpaid guy in net before his dumbass contract kicks in. Don’t need his salary cap hit for the next 7 years. I honestly don’t care for any of these fucks on this team. Cuylle might be an exception. Only if Chytil wasn’t so fragile.

Shesterkin is not the problem. The team defense in front of him has been horrific all year. Zibanejad has easily cost us 10 to 12 games in the standings. He’s been that bad. Miller was equally as bad until he was put with Borgen. Fox has had a bad season. Kreider looks like he finally got old. They need young centers to go with their young wings.

This team has sucked pretty much all season. I tried to stick by the coach but if you think about it, this team has sucked defensively under his watch since the first day he took over. They weren't good defensively last year. They were bailed out by big offensive years from their players, dominated on the PP and were able to play with the lead a lot of games. Time for a coaching change. A more defensive coach. With the addition of Borgen, Soucy and Vaakkanainen, there has to be a disciplined defensive system put in place and Lava is not the guy to do it. That much is obvious.

Yeah, the defense is their biggest issue on a long list of shortcomings for this team. Soucy looks slow so far...not sure they'd want to rely on him for anything more than an injury fill-in/7th defenseman.

You don't think he'll be a good 1st pair partner for Fox moving forward...;).

It is good asset management to deal a 3rd round pick for a depth dman right...lol. And actually, they really dealt a 2nd and 5th for him when you look at what they overpaid and traded for Smith, who was then essentially traded for Soucy. Good times.
