Anybody make 'em and keep 'em? I've never really made one before. But after some deep thinkin' and soul serchin', I believe I am setting a goal for 2013. I, The HCP, am going to try to get my ass back in shape! Not kinda' in shape, but REALY in shape! Could use as much help as I can get from you guys. Any recommendations would be appreciated! I've used the excuse that I travel a ton......... so it is going to be tough. But I want to stop using that as an excuse. I'd love help from you guys. I didn't start putting on weight until I was probably 24 or 25. I just turned 40 and I think I weigh more now then I ever have. I don't smoke and never really drink. My main vice is soda. Can't remember the last day of my life that I didn't have a couple. It's about time I get my shit together!
I have the same resolution (well, it's one of my resolutions). I do know that once I stopped drinking sugar drinks (pop, etc) I lost weight. You could try that, depending on the amount you drink. I was heavy into it, 5-6 cans a day sometimes. My problem now is I eat lunch at work, get home and eat something and then eat dinner. I'm gonna try to lose 25-50 pounds this year, and maybe take up biking again.
Resolutions are too hard to keep and no one does them. Ill try to walk or jog one mile before work three times per week and juice fresh vegetables more often. Try to get out of my dead end job too.
Work in plastic surgery practice management but the surgeon recently retired so don't know how much longer ill be around. Nowadays I just stay in office and help run other projects like their real estate stuff and other crap with another coworker (its easy as shit). Also the executive director of a local plastic surgery society and run a small biz outsourcing medical transcription. I'd like to expand the last one as its easy passive income. Also like to get into yoga.
HCP, DIET is the best way for everyone over 35 to get into better shape. Not exercise! Also let yourself have one "freebie" a week when you are starting a new habit. Changing your diet to truly get in shape, takes 2 years to become a permanent change. Good luck! Oh and don't regularly look at chiseled hard bodies, IE beerboy, it will demotivate you and make you more likely give up. e: cut the soda out of your life ENTIRELY! that is the killer! And juice. Stick to water, milk, or real ice tea (not that canned/bottled shit). It sucks, but everything else has as much sugar as soda. e2:talk to bill bayno!
Thanks man........ Already started kinda'. On a road trip right now obviously, and have been working like crazy, but I haven't had a Pepsi since New Years Eve. Longest stretch probably since HS>
