That it came just two days after they lost Mathias Kiwanuka indefinitely to a neck injury - despite the defensive end's claims he will play next week - made the performance surprising to everyone. In some ways, the Giants - who are now locked in a three-way tie for first place in the wide-open NFC East at 2-2 - even surprised themselves.
