this is my tribute to the Jets.... coming off a 4-12 season. they got a new coach whos 35, a oft-injured quarterback coming off 2 rotator cuff surgeries, an injured Curtis Martin, problems on defense, no offensive line. According to mostly everyone this team was definately going to end up as last in the division. But everything turned around for them, Pennington has been playing great, Leon Washington has stepped in at RB, we drafted two offensive linemen that will anchor the line for years to come. The 3-4 defense has finally come around to start playin well. Players like Jerricho Cotchery, Bryan Thomas, and Kerry Rhodes have emerged as amazing players. Mangini has everyone playing hard and all the coaches are calling good plays and winning games. So instead of gettting last in the division as all the experts predicted we ended up 10-6 and clinched a wildcard berth in the toughest conference in the league. Mangini may be the coach of the year and we have momentum going into the playoffs by winning the last 3 games on our schedule. No matter what happens in the playoffs, the Jets have had one of the most successful seasons in the NFL. Congrats to the men in Green and white.
I'll be cheering for the Jets in the AFC playoffs. In fact, I'll be cheering for anyone who's not the Colts or the Patriots.

Now that the Jets finally lost. They can think about the 2007 season. Going into the offseason, the Jets have about 20 mil of cap space to use. Curtis Martin is thinking about retiring so the Jets might have to settle with either Leon Washington, Kevan Barlow, or Cedric Houston at RB next year. I would rather see Leon Washington and Cedric Houston share carries and Barlow benched. That's about all I know about the Jets. They might not change anything on offense since they have good WRs with Coles, Cotchery, and McCareins. The offensive line is pretty solid and they have Pennington under center. Maybe the defense might get a little boost in the draft or free agency?
idk we'll see if they decide to draft a top running back, i doubt they do. They will bolster the offensive line i bit more i think and make it younger still which would be great. The dline and secondary will be big focuses this offseason

well i havent talked much about the Patriots game but the Jets were clearly beaten by a better team they dont have the talent yet i dont think to stick with the elite teams in the league but they are definately going in the right direction and with another great draft this year and some good free agency pickups i think the Jets can do just as good as they did this year. Though they are definately going to have a harder schedule this coming year because of their 2nd place finish in the AFC East. Hopefully we can get the talent to compete with the big AFC teams in the league. i personally wouldnt be surprised or discouraged with a off year next season because of the schedule. Because we have to remember the reason the Jets had such an easy schedule this year is because they were in last place the year before. Hopefully though we can get the talent and keep up the coaching to make the playoffs again and maybe finally dethrone the Patriots.
