Come on guys, where's the conversation thread? It's sad that an old ghost like me has to come back and make it [IMG]

Right now the score is 45-40, and Channing Frye is tearing it up. Our team looks young and energetic, and the D is solid.

I was going to make it, but I thought someone else would have a preview for it, so I didn't.

    Score is now 72-63.

The young guys have done very well. Channing has shown a glimpse of what he can do. He runs the floor well, has some post moves, and can step out and hit the 17 footer.

Quentin is just a waste of space out their. He won't work out in Larry Brown's system. He was a perfect fit in Phoenix where they would run-and-gun all game long, just not the right guy in New York under LB.

Kobe already has 31. After starting out strong, he cooled off, and then he turned it on again.

I was glad the Knicks lost, but I have to admit the Knick rookies looked great. I'm also very impressed with Jamal Crawford on offense. He is an amazing scorer and smooth on the court. His defense is improving, but his creativity with the basketball was fantastic. I'd love to see him play on a team like Sacramento, Denver, or Phoenix.

If anyone really benefits from Larry Brown's discipline it's going to be Crawford. He took a few bad shots last night, but when he's under control he's money on offense. Also his long arms and athleticism should allow him to be a lockdown defender. I don't think he's ever had the proper coaching to emphasize his defense, but Larry will be a great mentor for him if he's willing to learn.

He's a young, 5-9 rookie learning from one of the most demanding coaches the NBA has known. He's playing inconsistent, but I don't doubt his ability to play. Once he becomes a sophomore, I think he will be much more improved.

As for the game, what can I say, but Kobe? There are only a handful of players in the NBA with his type of talent. When someone like Kobe gets hot, there's nothing you can do. I am disappointed by the loss, but there are many great things that took place during our loss. The play of the rookies were impressive, especially our 8th overall pick, Channing Frye, has been one of the many positives. He?s been scoring the ball extremely well. David Lee brings us hustle, energy, and rebounds. Last night was his first career double-double. He also ranks #1 in offensive and total rebounds per 48 minutes, and #2 in defensive rebounds per 48 minutes. Nate Robinson has been struggling, but it?s mostly due to his transition to the NBA. Despite what the statistics dictate, Robinson changes the tempo of the game and gets everyone energized. If we learn from this Laker game and don?t have anyone score 42 points on us, hopefully we can get better results.
