There are “players” I don’t like but that’s because I feel they’re not representing my Yankees like they should whether by their play or by their character.

    Yankees I dislike

Joba Chamberlain the starter: I don’t like him starting because I feel he can’t do it. I don’t like Joba the starter as a player and it’s not personal.

Alex Rodriguez: I personally don’t like Alex Rodriguez and I don’t like A-Rod the player when he’s at bat in a big spot when playing baseball. I feel he’s a prima donna looking for attention and I also feel the Yankees shouldn’t be paying a player that much money.

Jorge Posada: I don’t like Jorge the player. I don’t like his catching abilities. I personally like him though. He seems like a down to earth guy.

A.J. Burnett, C.C. Sabathia and Mark Teixeira: I don’t like big named free agents. The Yankees buy players every year and these guys are the newest batch. They represent every thing that has gone wrong with the Yankees since 2000. Personally, I have nothing against them. They all seem like nice guys.

Brian Bruney: I don’t like his pitching abilities. I have nothing against him as a person. I just think he sucks at pitching.

    Players I like

Joba Chamberlain the reliever: When he’s relieving, I get excited because I like watching him dominate. I love the fist pump after coming out of the bull pen. He’s a different pitcher as a reliever. He’s more aggressive and I like that.

Derek Jeter: The captain, the legend and future Hall of Famer. Plays the game with class and happens to be a very good baseball player.

Phil Hughes: I love Phil Hughes in the bull pen. He comes in and just dominates. I never liked him as a starter.

Brett Gardner: I love his speed. Just love it. Brings a dimension to the Yankees they never had. I feel their stunting his growth because he doesn’t play every day.

Mariano Rivera: I don’t have to explain this one.

Francisco Cervelli and Jose Molina: Love their defensive catching skills and the fact that pitchers actually request them to catch.

    Players on the bubble:

Robinson Cano: I didn’t like Cano at the start of the season because of some of his plays in the infield. After watching him make some great plays in the field during the second half of the season, I’m almost sure he won me over.

Nick Swisher: I didn’t like him at all as a player during the season. After seeing him get some clutch hits, he’s almost changing my mind. Personally, I “kind” of root for him to do well because my gay friend thinks he is hot. If you want to hear the interview with my gay friend, it’s on the left top side of this page and it’s the last 20 minutes of the show.
