Has left Goldschmidt on the bench for two games that he should’ve been in. He needs to be gone. Overall this is a team wide collapse.
Hopefully, the sweep will come via another blowout loss in NY...and maybe, just maybe, Hal will finally be fed up with both Cashman and Boone, fire their sorry asses and bring in oh I don't know,...maybe Mattingly as Manager and Jeter as GM?
I can see maybe giving Fried a pass, but the BP has been gasoline all year...that's also on Cashman and his inane pre-season and trade deadline moves...but like you said, the Yanx hitters did not show up. Like I've said over and over during the recent years, on offense, we simply do not have enough "real baseball players".
They should apologize to everyone they criticized for stating the obvious. When they’re bashing homers, the team looks great. When the homers aren’t coming, it’s absolute ineptitude. I’ve never seen a team swing at more bad pitches but take pitches right down the middle. As you said, the bullpen has been garbage all year. And the starting pitching has totally collapsed here.
