<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> The Cavaliers are on a four-game winning streak and the team is in the middle of a playoff hunt. But everyone is not happy. Ira Newble and DeSagana Diop are excited about their team's current success, but both players crave a larger role. At one time, Newble and Diop were vital to the Cavs' success, but they have been out of coach Paul Silas' rotation. With the exception of playing 18 minutes on Monday against the Atlanta Hawks, Newble has spent most nights on the bench or he has received a handful of minutes. Diop, who was once in the mix off the bench, has also seen little time. "If we weren't winning, we'd have more problems," Silas said. "[Newble and Diop] have to understand their time will come, so they have to be ready and keep their heads in the game and that's tough. My job is tough by sitting them down and not having them in the rotation, but I'm going to do what will ever help us win."</div> Full Story
diop played very well I thought in the few minutes he played vs the hawks monday night, at least once he got going after the first couple possessions
The fact both can only contribute at one end of the floor (defensive) limits their oppotunities to be on the floor. What annoys me is Newble has displayed pre Cavs that he does have an offensive game. Wish he could track back and find it!
Diop got his regular foul in, and on the positive side, Newble didn't clang any jumpers. While Battie is doing the job, and Nailon has his head in the game, I'm happy for this pair to sit!
