Newfound respect for Pacers I have newfound respect for the Indiana Pacers, especially Ron Artest, J O'neal, and Jackson. Man oh man, These guys have each others backs. I don't care if what they did was right or wrong. Let the NBA decide that, all I know is these guys are REAL teammates. They back each other up when they need to. I'm not saying the other players from the Pacers AREN'T good teammates, they are. They did not jump in, and were trying to stop the fight, that's being a good teammate too. But I love the fact that Jackson and JO came in running trying to help Artest. I seriously did not like the Pacers before this much, except maybe JO and Artest. But now, Pacers are my second favorite team. MAN OH MAN, Props to Artest, JO, and Jackson for not putting up with Detroit fans behavior. Oh and props to the little man trying to get in on the action with the dustpan. (Tinsley)
If the Pacers get to keep the same roster playing come playoff time, the NBA better watch out. A band of brothers like them with the skills that they have is tough to beat.
Haha true, I can't wait for Christmas day. I can't wait for the NEXT Indiana Pacers game. I wanna see who'll lead the Pacers, probably Tinsley and Croshere.
If this fight never went down, i would've never known that these teams are gonna play the same day Kobe and Shaq are. But your right about that togetherness. Kind of like a gang huh???
I expect ALL my friends to have my back. My Nationality is Armenian and about 50% of you on these boards haven't heard about us. We're a REALLY CLOSE race. We have each others backs like crazy. I guess that's why I loved this so much. It's funny cause yesterday me and my friends had a fight with some of these guys and we all got some shots at these guys so It was like a coincidence.
I think the most respect should go to the rookie David Harrison. This guy didn't throw any punches and was playing peacemaker the whole time. This is quite impressive for a young rookie in the league.
So was Darko, there were alot of people that we're trying to stop the fight. It would have been better if all the Indiana Pacers were fighting the fans, that woulda been the best.
I am a Pacers fan, And aside from all the WRONG in fighting, I really have respect for these guys. I always thought S-Jax was just a talker and nothing more. WELL how wrong was i?. He did NOT HESISTATE to have Ron-Mania's back, when he was getting rushed by a bag of guys. These guys are a TEAM, And respect for the one's that try to break it up too. Well done!
Having respect for players who attack fans half their size and weight mainly who did nothing wrong is like having respect for guys who break into people's cars. It's plain sad.
"Having respect for players who attack fans half their size and weight mainly who did nothing wrong" they did nothing wrong? :S ...r u sure on that one?

No, he mistaken the dude for someone else (guy that was wearing the hat). That's Ron's fault yes, for not identifying the right person, but for F's sake man, do you really think Ron just went out there trying to beat up innocent fans for no reason???

How exactly is that ok? Artest is messed up in the head, who knows what he is thinking 24/7. Artest was mad and wouldn't surprise me If he would want to beat up innocent fans just to let off some steam.
Artest went into the crowd looking for a fight? Did you not see the beer cup thrown at his face that PROVOKED the fight? He wasn't looking for a fight, he was retaliating. You know what AllNet, your head is so way out there that I don't even want to bother arguing with you. Maybe in a couple of years you'll grow out of your naiveness. Until then, ball on and stay out of trouble .
So your saying he was looking for a fight? He was in a fight on the COURT with Ben Wallace. He just layed on the scores table as to say "I'm not reacting to this, I don't want to fight." Don't even start to say that he didn't want to fight Ben Wallace cause he's bigger then him, Artest is about 6'7 and Ben Wallace without his fro is around that size. Yes Ben Wallace is bigger then him as in size, but Artest can fight and he isn't someone that wouldn't back up his words or his actions. He just didn't wanna get in trouble for fighting, especially after all the trouble he got for trying to get some time off for the album. <font color="Red"><font size="1">Double posting is prohibited by the guidelines. That fan was WRONG as I have kept on stating but to say Artest wasn't looking for a fight when the fan threw what he did is stupid. By laying on the scorers table he was baiting the fans and Ben Wallace. He was asking for it. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">You know what AllNet, your head is so way out there that I don't even want to bother arguing with you. Let me put it like this for you Allnet, let's say some LITTLE kids were throwing bottles at you and was HARRASING you. What would you do? Your BIGGER then them as in size. They know that you can't hit them because there little kids. The same goes for Artest, someone threw a beer at him. They thought Artest wasn't going to do anything because he is supposed to let it slide and not let it bother him. But being Artest, he snaps and goes after the fan. So what if he's bigger then them, just cause he's bigger then them he's gonna let the fans action slide? NO WAY. By the way the fan that threw the beer was acting, he DESERVED to be punched in the face. I can tell he is an asshole just by looking at him. If he threw the beer at Artest , atleast be a man about it and act like you threw it to him. He had his hands in his pockets as if he didn't do anything. What a F*****G girl.
^Totally true, I was watching the video and i dunno who it was but one of the espn analysts were like "see ron artest is looking for the wrong guy, the guy that threw the beer bottle is the one in the hat" and i looked over and he has his hands in his pocket and like nothing happened.
