I read that the warriors are willing to pay luxury tax next season to keep Arenas. But I think things could still change because the offseason is still not that close.

The Warriors are in A LOT of debt already. The Warriors better find a way to keep Arenas though. Hopefully they can move Fortson, Dampier, or Sura. They do get 5.8M from Chris Mills after the season, but I think it will take more than that to keep Arenas. Also Earl Boykins will be a Free Agent and will want for than the $500k he makes now.

Hopefully Arenas stays with the Warriors young nucleus.

Arenas is going to get better and better and I think will turn out to be like a Steve Francis type pg, one that can rebound well and score at will, but will be a better passer. The Warriors should try everything in their will to keep him.

i thought that the warriors were gonna make a trade to clear some cap room to keep arenas, but they didnt. they could have a really dominant team nex year with j rich, jamison, t murph and arenas, but well see if they will be able to hold on to all of those guys

they cant give arenas more then the mid-level exception anyways though because they didn't get under the cap...

4.5 mill a year starting ain't too shabby though...Arenas may command more on the free-agent market...however, i'd like to see some loyalty NOT JUST BY TEAMS but by players also...Nobody thought Arenas was going to make it in the NBA...too small for a SG, wrong mentality and style for a PG...that was the take on him...but the Warriors took him, played him, kept him around and let him improve his game while giving him minutes he earned along the way...now that he is a high level player, I would hope he'd take that into consideration when making his decision as to which team he will sign with...if the warriors can hold j-rich / jamison / murphy / arenas together...yah they are going to be a force for years to come...i hope arenas realizes this...

GSW has 1 more chance to clear cap space. They will have to pull off a trade in the off-season to free up more money. Fortson, Mills, Sura, Foyle, Dampier are all possibilities to be traded.

Team loyalty and player loyalty is dead. You can thank the Sport Agents for that.

I hope GSW can retain their core players. But I won't be surprised to see Arenas somewhere else next season.
