1.) Milwaukee on the road 2.) Chicago at home 3.) golden state on the road (b2b) 4.) New York at home 5.) Phoenix on the road 6.) Lakers on the road 7.) Indiana at home (b2b) 8.) OKC at home 9.) Utah at home 10.) Dallas at home (b2b) If we go 6-4, that would be a serious accomplishment! And wtf?! 6 b2b games in the first 21 games?! Who made this schedule?
Milwaukee? They have a .200 winning % I see one game where we shouldn't be favored. If we go 6-4 that would be a fail 1.) Milwaukee on the road (we should beat them easily) 2.) Chicago at home (should beat them) 3.) golden state on the road (b2b) (should not beat them) 4.) New York at home (should easily beat them) 5.) Phoenix on the road (should beat them..they came back to earth) 6.) Lakers on the road (should beat them, unless Kobe is back) 7.) Indiana at home (b2b) (tough game, we are at home and should win) 8.) OKC at home (see above) 9.) Utah at home (should kill them) 10.) Dallas at home (b2b) (should kill them)
These are my homer predictions 1.) Milwaukee on the road - win (90% certain) 2.) Chicago at home - win (60% certain) 3.) golden state on the road (b2b) - win (51% certain) 4.) New York at home - win (100% certain) 5.) Phoenix on the road - lose (65% certain) 6.) Lakers on the road - win (51% certain) 7.) Indiana at home (b2b) - lose (80% certain) 8.) OKC at home - win (60% certain) 9.) Utah at home - win (75% certain) 10.) Dallas at home (b2b) - lose (55% certain) 7-3 in the next 10. But we could go 4-6 almost just as easy, IMO. Since I'm a homer, I go with better numbers!
Phoenix has come back to earth because they lost to us by one, and NJ in OT? That game will be tough. I see us losing to either Indiana or OKC at home. Certainly GS on the road, and one other. (Chicago or the Lakers) 6-4 would not be a fail IMO.
MM is drinking the kool aid! Or he is setting it up to complain we should have won, and by losing to okc or Indy, we suck
Why do you see us losing to either Indiana or OKC at home? Why do you see us losing to either Chicago or Lakers? We have a better record than all those teams except Indiana, and they are only 3-1 on the road.
Opponents and SOS or not this team needs to get back to absolute dominance at home. The road so far has been very encouraging and now we need to take it up a notch at home so that road wins are pure gravy.
Yes, definitely a stretch with a number of good teams - but the hardest ones are at home where we need to re-establish what used to be the best homecourt advantage in the league. Also, I really hate the Lakers and thus we need to win in Staples Center. Thanks.
Because teams occasionally lose games, and more often then not, against good teams. All games are "winnable" by definition though, so I understand your indisputable optimism
I think there is a difference between accepting a loss to Indiana or OKC because they are good teams and thinking will will probably lose one of those two games because they are good teams.
Because I think Indiana and OKC are better than us. I can see us dropping one. I also know we historically play bad on our first game back from a east coast road trip. Chicago IMO will be a loss. I think Kobe will be back or at least close to being back and the Lakers will be playing desperate BB at home for a while. So that game will be close. Phoenix is a tough match up for us. And of course GS will be a loss. We really need to beat Milwaukee. Every win is crucial. The Blazers can not get "comfortable".
Well we keep saying this but this will be another good test to see who we are. The end of a long and successful road trip against a team that we should beat. Do we let up? Finishing them off would be a good sign.
What those teams don't know (should be set to us shooting 3s):
Welcome out MM! it was only a matter of time. Yes, the next ten games will be rough, but it's going to be great for this team win or lose.
If we're any better than 4-6, I'm calling for HCA in the first round. BTW, this leads me to think back of our ridiculous traveling. They really need to realign the divisions and put us in the pacific.
Golden State and Indiana are the toughest matchups for us on that list. I believe this team can beat anybody if they stay hungry and healthy.
