I think he 'retired' as he called it. The Curtain Call album was his last album and let me say that it was disapointing. The Encore album was pretty bad too. I like the old Eminem...(every album he put out before his last two.)

He did say he was gonna retire to spend time with his daughter Hailie but he is coming back eventually. Thats what he say at least.
I'm pretty sure he is done making his own albums, but if I remember correctly he is supposed to release a mixtape soon (or did he already release it recently... can't remember), and he is supposed to also make another mixtape with 50 Cent and Dr. Dre.
I don't think he's coming out with his own album - but he's being featured in a lot of upcoming albums...for exampleAkon's new CDand Obie Trice's CD - he basically raps in all the songs...(I got the CD)

If that's the case you've obviously never heard any rap from the late 90's which is absolutely amazing. Wu-Tang Clan and all their solo albums, Nas, Biggie, Pac, Big L, Pun, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Gang Starr, Jay-Z, Boot Camp Clik, Sean Price (even though he just put out his first solo album recently), Originoo Gun Clappaz, Smif-N-Wessun, Heltah Skeltah, etc. Thats all real rap, and idiots like young jeezy and TI are lumps of sh*t compared to that, so don't ever think you know anything about rap until youve heard the real stuff.

i agree with yankshater. rap today sucks balls. i occasionally listen to some old school like tupac or nwa. that's mostly it, but i like the sound compared to the gay sh*t that's on the radio nowadays.
I know that he supposedly "retired", but after hearing on MTV that he and Kim got another divorce, they said "this will probably have some ties in a song on his new album".
