My money's on Byron Scott. And sooner rather than later.

Appears to me he was brought in to tank. Why else would they keep Kobe around to take others development minutes?

Farewell Tour? Honestly the Lakers tried their damndest do put together a team with vets and it is hilarious to watch them fail. Idk if they will he bad enough by seasons end to get a top 3 pick though.

Kupchak would need to fire himself first. What a mismatched mess he's created for Scott to try to coach. Either go with the youth movement, trade the older guys for picks, and accept the losses, or trade off some of the young talent and bring in more vets to try to win now.

A GM blame himself? That would certainly be refreshing.

He'll turn it around. Besides, he's also the GM.

Him giving minutes to his kid is pretty unforgivable, though.

I agree on Byron. The LA media is roasting him for not playing Russell late in games. Sounds like BS was forced to changed his philosophy on that last night. Personally I think it is a long season and there was plenty of time for DR to play late in games. It's not like he wasn't getting minutes. But no doubt that BS will be the scapegoat.

The LA media should be roasting Kobe for taking as many shots as he does.

Well, ownership may come to the realization that this is a screwed up mess at some point. OTOH, they're losing at a high enough rate that having a good shot at the number 1 draft pick is realistic, so maybe the plan is just to ride out the year and wait for Kobe's exit before committing to the youth movement. If I were a Laker fan, I'd probably care. As it is, I hope things go as badly as possible for them.

That would be so shitty, he is a good coach. It's not his fault his team is getting up in age and has injury problems.

I think Casey in Toronto is probably on the hot seat but I think Scott should be fired first...Houston's interim coach will be in the mix if they upgrade

He is the opposite of Mike D'Antoni. Teams hire the opposite of their last coach.

If the Lakers do tank, get lucky in the lottery and keep their 2016 pick their 2019 pick becomes completely unprotected which Orlando gets from the Dwight Howard trade. After Brooklyn the Lakers have potentially the worst position of not owning high lottery picks in multiple future seasons.
