I know that they said Gorton is the favorite but I want JD. I am sure he will get it done on the first try.

I'd much rather have JD. Columbus will be loaded next year. They sucked last year most of the year. Their young players were still developing. They had some injuries. They needed to make a few moves. JD constantly is stockpiling picks and young players.

I used to really be mad at Glen Sather with his
ludicrous salaries for players who were not able
to bring Stanley Cups to the New York Rangers.
Then it was how he put the Rangers together,
year after year......completely changing the makeup
of the team every year. It brought some very good teams
and some stinkers, but he tried BUT NOT WITH
THE SUCCESS HE BROUGHT TO EDMONTON.
But then again, the Rangers never had the opportunity
to draft extremely high under his tenure. Fifteen
years of empty hopes and heart wrenching playoff
losses. And every year more roster changes with the
hope that "this year will be our year".
IT IS TIME. I am no longer angry nor bitter, yet
it is time for him to relinquish his role and hand it
to someone who can lead the Rangers into a better
future. I do hope he leaves. He tried mightily.
    Fifteen years........it is time.

And note to moderator, NYR31.....to call me an
    "insufferable clown"......should merit an apology,
    if anything.
