We hear it every year. But next season, if Yao, T-Mac, and Artest are healthy the Rockets are favorites to win it all. They don't need to trade anyone if Yao is healthy. A backup center would be nice to limit Yao's minutes, but isn't necessary with Hayes. It's T-Mac's contract year, let him play. The Rockets should look to re-sign Artest, and must extend Yao. Having Artest as your 3rd or 4th option rather than your first or second is beneficial. Artest would be a great "Battier on steroids" type player for 5 years $45 million.
