    Yanx have a lot of decisions to make with some big names.

    ...I have my own opinion but wanted to hear yours as far as who to keep ?;

    DJ LeMahieu
    James Paxton
    Masahiro Tanaka
    Adam Warren
    Zack Britton
    can opt out but probably won't
    Giancarlo Stanton can opt out but probably won't
    JA Happ has a vesting option but did not hit (165 innings pitched),
    Brett Gardner ($10 million 2021 club option, which can be voided for $2.5 million.)

    Must obviously resign DJ. Paxton can walk. Tanaka would depend on what money he's looking for. Don't think you meant Warren. Britton a huge bullpen piece. Stanton not going anywhere. Happ is probably gone. Gardner's option will be picked up.

    LeMahieu iis a keeper, Tanaka depends on salary and time length. Stanton wish he would opt out . Britton may have some value.

    Paxton and Happ can go

    Brett Gardner honorable service time but buy him out and plug Frazier in

    In order of importance;

    1. Lock up DJ for 4 years if possible.

    2. I don't see Sanchez as our catcher anymore...so shop him and trade him and get something in return. Make a run at J T Realmuto but if that doesn't work out I'm seriously OK with Higgy as our #1 catcher.

    3. Sign Trevor Bauer...and let all FA pitchers walk unless one of them will resign at a discount. (Tanaka, Happ, Paxton)

    4. Say goodbye to Gardner...give the LF job to Frazier.

    5. Personally, I'd love to see Stanton go elsewhere because he's simply a one dimensional player. (yeah, I know, I'm dreaming)

    5. And my crackhead idea for next year is; Trade Voit who would have great trade value (yeah, I know he can hit some HRs but on defense he's a butcher at 1B), move DJ to 1B, move Torrez back to 2B where he belongs, and bring back DD at SS and either sign him to a 4 year deal OR preferably, a 1 year deal because there's a very good crop of FA SSs that will be available in 2022.

    DD at SS and DJ at 1B and Realmuto/Higgy behind the plate would greatly improve our infield defense. And if Sanchez, Voit, and Stanton are no longer on the roster it would also greatly reduce the high number of team strikeouts on offense which I see as a big issue.

    Per ESPN scuttlebut Philly will probably make a good run at Real muto. I'd be more than content with Higgy behind the Dish too bad the Yankees let Romine go, he and Higgy would have made a good platoon. SS has too be fixed Torres sleeps too much out there. Lotss of FA SS out there and you know they;re looking for the $$$. Cleveland has made multiple offers to Lindor and he's shot them down. I may be hung out to dry on this oone, I've always been a Brett Gardner Fan. But it is time to thank him for his service and give him his buyout, Getting rid of Happ and Paxton will free up some dollare to lure Bauer into the fold. Stanton, I'm afraid the Jeter to Cashman fleece is gooing to be around for quite a while.

    DJ stays on a 3 or 4 yr contract. Happ and Paxton CUT. Tanaka let go, I agree with 59 and said the same thing a while back of moving voit so DJ can play first and move Gleyber who is a god awful shortstop back to second where he was better. Make a big play with Cleveland for lindor and use voit, andujar and a prospect or 2 in the deal as lindor only 1 year and shouldn’t cost more than that. Or bring DD back to play short. Realmuto is 30 and a fortune and will be a bidding war between Phil’s and Mets. Let them two have at it. Higgy is fine as the number 1 and has shown great defensively especially blocking balls and will contribute a little offense with power also. Sanchez MUST GO!! The yanks drafted 3 catchers in the last couple of years in the first and second round and hopefully cashman didn’t swing and miss at all 3 of them. Seve won’t be back till the allstar break and kahnle will be gone the whole 2021 season from tj surgery. Bauer will be a fortune but something that may play in is the supposed blood hate feud he has with Cole. Pitching next year to start anyway is Cole, Cruz, Monty who should be better 2nd tr from tj, Schmidt and either a free agent or Tanaka back on a cheap contract till Seve is ready. They must find at least 1 or 2 good bullpen arms and for gods sake release teases that always choke when you need them like cessa, lasagna and oddapoddapina. And for gods sake don’t resign Boone. Let him go back to the booth and bring back buck to finish what he started in 95. Cashman should go also but Hal doesn’t have the balls to do it. Also, need to find a lefty batter or two for the lineup. Brantley is avaialable again and wouldn’t be a bad add. Gardner needs to go and Clint the everyday leftfielder. Stanton unfortunately we’re stuck with

    I don't have access to NYC Sports Radio but I'd imagine that Boner, Cashman, and the team are getting ripped by the call in fans. Did see an article in the Daily News ripping Steinbrenner for paying out all that money and not holding anyone accountable.That has to start from the top and as we used to say in the Army shit rolls downhill. Big George would have pink slips flying everywhere. In the same edition there was an article on A-hole stating that the Yankees got what they deserved. Who the hell is he to talk. During his time as a Yankee '09 exceoted the Yankees were prepetual playoff fuck ups. A-hole is getting a bit self righteous since he left the game.

    IMO the only two worth keeping are DJ and Pax.

    Stanton isn't going anywhere.

    I wouldn't pick up Britton's 2022 option and I doubt he'll opt out. Maybe, but I seriously doubt it. It's going to be a lean/cheap year for FAs.

    I think Hal will want to get back under the luxury tax rate. The Yanks will have around 30 million to play with.

    Which means all the rest are goners. They're not going to give DJ 20+ million, and Gleyber needs to be back at 2b.

    They should sign Iglesias, he is an under the radar type who plays a fantastic SS and whose bat has perked up the past couple of years.

    They should sign James McCann and get Gary the hell out of town. Trade Gary and Andujar in a package for a SP.
