As the Super Bowl betting for Super Bowl XLVI starts to heat up, many teams and their fans are forced to look towards next season at a shot at glory and playoff competition. There have been a lot of changes in the NFL already that will make for an interesting 2012 regular season. Lets take a look at what has already transpired and take an even deeper look into what new moves could take place. Indianapolis Colts The price per head sports experts were a little confused when the new GM of the Indianapolis Colts, Ryan Grigson, gave head coach Jim Caldwell a moderate vote of confidence and then fired Caldwell in the same day. But that was only the beginning as there has been a mass execution of Colts’ coaches in the last few days that gives more than the impression that the Colts are cleaning house. Now the big question as to whether “cleaning house” means getting rid of superstar quarterback Peyton Manning starts to come up. The pay per head sports experts can agree that the Colts will probably take quarterback Andrew Luck in the first round of the draft, but no one can seem to agree on what will happen to Manning. The New York Jets have stepped up and given a small amount of interest in possibly taking on Peyton Manning and giving up on the Mark Sanchez experiment. But the Colts have not given any indication as to where Peyton Manning will finish his career. New York Jets Speaking of those New York Jets, that team is complete turmoil right now. After “unnamed sources” came out and blasted quarterback Mark Sanchez, the team seems more divided than ever. Other players have labeled wide receiver Santonio Holmes as a “locker room cancer,” buy Jets owner Woody Johnson insists that Sanchez and Holmes will be back next year. A sportsbook review of the current news headlines also suggests that many people in New York are no longer impressed with the way that head coach Rex Ryan runs the football team. The fans don’t make personnel decisions, but big changes could be coming in New York to try and get the Jets back on track in 2012. Miami Dolphins Whether you write a soccer blog or an NFL football blog, you know that things are not going well in Miami. The Dolphins desperately wanted to hire Jeff Fisher as the new head coach, but Fisher opted for St. Louis instead. Now the Dolphins are trying to decide between Denver Broncos’ offensive coordinator Mike McCoy and current Miami interim head coach Todd Bowles. Miami is expected o make its decision very soon, but it won’t be the kind of decision that the Dolphins wanted to make. The Dolphins wanted Fisher because he is a good coach and a big name in the NFL. What the Dolphins will wind up getting is a good coach that could lead the team to wins but may not sell a lot of tickets with his name. The priorities in Miami seem a little off, but at least the Dolphins are trying to put together a winner.
