Greed will not destroy the NFL. It's the players of the game that will bring this league to its knees. Every team has some vagrant who's a woman beater, wife beater, child beater, a womanizer, a bully to grab the headlines. And league leaders making a bad situation worse; covering up incidents as they increase on a daily basis.
Two things contributing here....an ever increasing expansion of the definitions for 'abuse', and a surveillance society. Add to that class warfare fomented by the political elites and you have a lot of folks out there playing gotcha with anyone in the top 1% (>$350k/yr). Actually I'm surprised we haven't had race enter into this yet....why is the media targeting wealthy black men?
Well, since 2000 in the NFL alone there have been 730 arrests for domestic violence, sexual assault, drunken driving, drug abuse, theft/burglary, gun charges...all these actions are abusive, whether to oneself or others. These abuses are a societal problem; sports people are in the entertainment business and are under public scrutiny because they are in the public limelight .....the media targets anyone who acts abusive toward others.
