...don't have a warm and fuzzy feeling about the Raiders chances.

...Menu; ham, black eyed peas with ham hocks, turnip and mustard greens from my garden, REAL homemade macaroni and cheese, cracklin' bread.

We are having an Asian feast to celebrate my Giants playoff bound season.
    Lots of finger food.
Fried ribs marinated in coriander, garlic, cilantro..a dry rub. Place short ribs in plastic bag. Toss ribs
until fully coated. Then dredge lightly in flour. Fry on stove top.
Thai fried shrimp & squid dipped in sweet chili sauce.
    Wonton wrapped shrimp & beef.
Thai peanut sauce for chicken and vegetable satay.
    Corn fritters.
    Thai spring rolls.
    Coconut - saffron rice.
Chicken, potatoes, red peppers & carrots in a mellow or spicy red curry.
Sweet sticky rice with warm yellow mango slices for dessert.
Much thanks to our Malaysian neighbor, Nina. She was our inspiration this New Years.

    Yum. Yum. Yum.

1- ^^^^ 1st month this year, either my son or I, did not make Mac n Cheese from scratch. Like to add bacon, and/or ham chunks from a roast. Broccoli, even a bit of stuffing on top on occassion. Better yet- (seriously) sprinkle on top, chopped up or crumbled-crunchy Cheetos, to the M&C, and ya' got a casserole for a Super Bowl, or Yanx game....! Had to stop the M&C, or watch my cholestrol soar out of sight. Got the weight under control this year, then some; can't lose ground...

2- that sounds like a feast for confused Arkie's, and Italian Mejicano's....lol..!

...Matt McGloin and then the very promising rookie they drafted this year, Connor Cook.

...McGloin has never really been tested under these circumstances and I'm sure Denver will put a lot of pressure on him. Luckily, the Raiders along with the Cowboys, have the best offensive line in the NFL and if they can protect McGloin on passing plays while creating holes for the Raiders' RBs we have a shot

Shit; I thought I had seen it all, until I turned on the TV to see The Browns beating the Steelers, even with the 2nd team in, wtf- lmao....

Outstanding, when's dinner served? Ya' gotta' extra plate, rather paper towel for me, its sticks, no sporks, or hands only. I can do S.E. Asia food, et al, all week long.

I dated a Vietnamese-French Girl in High School, whose family had moved to Kuala Lumpur during the VN War. Her family wouldn't accept me until I made a few native rural S.E. Asia, esp- Vietnamese dishes, incl what I called "Swamp Soup", which was a "Lilly Pad-Prawn, Black Mushroom, Oyster Sauce soup", aka- Kaēng Chüd Dok Mai Cằm; which stunk worse than a poisoned bayou.

I love having them at Buffet Brunches. As far as the Raiders, I can't believe what a difference Derek Carr made this Season. The Playoff Schedule is a joke and should be changed to a best record basis as far as who plays each other. Now we Giant fans have to wait for the winner of tonight's game to figure out who they are going to play next week. I would rather the Giants face Detroit instead of Green Bay.

...all things considered, I'd just as soon see the rookie Connor Cook start next week vs the Texans.

I had a feeling you might say that..... me 3.... I almost put this up yesterday...

If we know Oakland is going to run the ball all day long, or as is being bantered about on NFL news, then no doubt put Connor in, he might surprise quit a few peeps. I know i enjoyed his play in NCAA..... btw- Roll Tide Roll. Saban used to be a Sparty Coach....!

2016 Guide: ' NFL Scouting Services said about CONNOR COOK:
    Michigan State, 6040 217 4.78.
Three-year starter from Hinckley, OH. The all-time winningest quarterback in Spartan history. Played in a pro style run first offense. He does a good job of managing the offense by avoiding or getting out of bad plays that can get you beat. A crafty veteran with good reads, touch, and accuracy. Steps up into the pocket and buys time. He is solid under pressure and bounces around in the pocket.
Played through injuries this past season. Protects the ball. Maintains accuracy on the move. Stands strong in the pocket and can take hits. Good velocity on intermediate and short passes with accuracy between the hash marks and on the perimeter. Demonstrates feel in the pocket. Well schooled to recognize and feel pressure. A good play action and drop back developmental quarterback. Racked up a 34-5 record as a starter. Smooth and quick release. Strong lower body. NFL ball clubs will like his size and his ability to play within the pocket.

The major question mark on Cook is his accuracy. He misses a lot of throws high. He has never thrown for over 58.7% in any season. Also question his decision making under pressure as well as ball security issues under blitz pressure.
Struggles to throw the ball through passing lanes that open up. He gets passes batted down. Cook’s body language and leadership is being vetted by teams due to not being elected a team captain. Is he a take charge individual who steps up and leads a group of teammates? How does he get along with people in general as well as teammates? The last two red flags may be the most important to lead an NFL franchise. 2015 stats: 229/408, 3131 yds, 56.1%, 24 TD, 7 INT, 56 yds rushing, 136.5 QB rating. Ball velocity 50 mph. OSR:12/ 18. Fourth/fifth round. (A-33, H-9 3/4, SS-4.28, VJ-33).

...^^^McGloin not only got hurt yesterday but he also sucked while he was playing...he was missing receivers on short passes that even I could hit....once Cook took over the Raiders' passing game and offense in general, improved immensely right away.
