The University of Saskatchewan will recognize Gordie Howe with an honorary degree at its graduation ceremonies next month. The NHL great grew up in Saskatoon and won four Stanley Cups with the Detroit Red Wings in the 1950s. He also won six Hart Trophies as the league’s most valuable player.
