NHL S2 Statement from the Commish

Hello,
SportsTwo has always been big for the NBA, primarily for BlazersTwo and BullsTwo. My goal as commissioner is to bring the NHL into the spotlight of SportsTwo. I will focus on big events and games. We have threads for each team in the NHL that will be used during game days as well as for other things. They are called Regular Season Threads. The point of these threads are simple, discussion without a certain focus. I will use the Blackhawks thread, which is called "CHI:Regular Season Thread." What will be posted in this topic will consist of Blackhawks fans talking about the games, predictions, fantasy news, stats, rumors and anything else they wish to post about. Big news articles will be posted separably, but can still be talked about in Regular Season Thread's. The Winter Classic, Heritage Classic, All-Star Game, and Stanley Cup Playoffs will get their own thread for discussion to go on their. I am open to hear your opinion and your ideas. If you want to become a moderator, please let me know and try to supply me with a reason why and past experience if you have any. I hope to see S2Hockey expand shortly, lets get it going and don't forget, the season starts very soon!

Why aren't you NFL commish?

 

I only took NFL to help build that section up with you, after a while I was going to switch over to the NHL. I have more ideas right now for Hockey than I do for American Football.

Well you need a consistent fan base... which is hard to come by. You need to somehow do some outside recruiting.

My affiliation offer is still there, you could probably snag a few more members. The reason that the head admins didn't want to do it is because S2 gets far more traffic than us (which is very true); however, I am willing to bet we get more hockey traffic than this board does... so take it as you will. If you convince them to affiliate I am still done. His method right now is pretty much an exchange of my articles for board advertisement.

 

Once I am freed up a little bit from college, I will get back to you on what we can work out.

 

Hopefully we can have a few members for all the teams in a period of time..
