The NHRA will increase from 23 to 24 events in 2013 and will assume a new series name to go with a renewed title sponsorship agreement for Coca-Cola, NHRA officials announced Wednesday in Indianapolis. Coca-Cola has renewed its sponsorship with the NHRA through the 2018 season, but is switching from the Full Throttle energy drink to the Mello Yello citrus soft drink as the title sponsor for the NHRA's professional series. The official series title in 2013 changes to the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.
