I was scared of this game tonight because Beckett was pitching. I was wondering if the Yankees pitching would be able to hold up but I didn’t wonder if Boston’s pitching and Beckett in particular would be able to hold up against the Yankees. The Red Sox were playing at home and they had their ace and after watching the Yankees struggle against the Red Sox rookie yesterday, I thought tonight was a recipe for disaster.

I was wrong. The Yankees destroyed Beckett. This was another thing I didn’t expect. It looked kind of odd to see Beckett in the game after giving up eight runs as well. Maybe the manager didn’t want to burn his bull pen. Sabathia didn’t dominate but he didn’t have to.

Cano made some bone headed plays again. Now that didn’t surprise me. I’m really happy Molina caught. I have a feeling that if Posada caught, the game would of been a much higher scoring game. Matsui killed the Red Sox this series. I don’t think they want to see him again anytime soon.

Now the Yankees get a deserved break and wait for Texas to come to town.

Yankees won 8-4. CC. Sabathia got the win.

I'm still concerned about how sloppy we played in the first two games. There's no reason we should have allowed so many runs against them in those games.

It wasn't good at all. The starting pitching is going to have to get better.
