Nick Diaz was asked to submit a urine test today but refused. His trainer Cesar said that two days notice isn't enough time for Diaz to pass a drug test because he smokes marijuana and needs ten days to clear out his system. At least they aren't being untruthful about it.

Honestly I don't mind fighters smoking herb because it beats using painkillers, which are very addictive and are common in combat sports. The rigors of training are very serious and anything that can keep people off pills, hard drugs and alcohol seems fine by me. Obviously it is a banned substance, though whether it is a PED is up for debate (some claim it enhances flexibility but IMHO it reduces stamina so you can go either way).

As reported earlier, Jesse "JT Money" Taylor will replace Diaz vs. Jay Heiron. The original fight was to be a rematch between Diaz and Joe Riggs, but Riggs had a reaction to some kind of medication and was forced to withdraw. There is a chance that fight could be back on for the spring Strikeforce show.

I'm fine with anyone smoking pot, but you honestly just gave up a shot at the title for weed? You'd think with a fight of that magnitude coming up he'd be a little more responsible.
