After looking at the scores for the games today (the 24th), I think it's fair to say that this was a night of upsets, with most the sucky teams beating the good teams today!
Wow, just checked that out. Your right, except for the Lakers beating the Jazz. And it also looks like the Sonics are going to beat the Clippers, which is also not an upset. Other than night you have Washington over Indiana, New Orleans over San Antonio, Golden State over Portland, Cavs over the Sixers, and the Heat over the Knicks. And I also wouldn't say "sucky teams beating good teams" Heat aren't bad, and Hornets are #3 in the East
I was going to make the same thread... A lot of these games came down to the wire, and some teams choked in the fourth quarter today. Sixers lose their third straight to the Cavs as Boozer dominated the boards, Darrell Armstrong torched my Spurs, Portland let J-Rich kill them, the Heat are playing like they want it as Rafer outplays Marbury, and Kwame has awoken his inner scorer.
I still think that the Lakers victory is a bit of an upset. Maybe it's just from what I saw last season, but any time you're an above .500 team, and lose to the Lakers in your own home court (Utah's among the hardest home courts to play in) when they DON'T have Shaq is an upset. Even though the Hornets aren't sucky, they surely are the underdogs right now. Baron Davis, David Wesley, and Jamal Mashburn are all out, that's like their 3 main scorers from last season, ouch. And I thought the Timberwolves' had it bad with injuries. That surely was an upset for Spurs fans. Too bad the Clippers won't win. If they did, today would be a very odd day for the NBA.
I think it's almost time to say this: 2003-2004 Sixers = lottery team That game tonight was just awful. It put me to sleep. Definite upset.

My bad ya'll, didn't even notice Baron Davis and David Wesley were still out, until I saw that GW jumper by Darrell Armstrong. That was nasty. Bet the Magic could use him now.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Purple N Gold:</div><div class="quote_post">Bet the Magic could use him now. </div> Orlando is finding out that losing Darrell was the biggest mistake of the offseason. He, and not Tracy, was the real leader of the Magic the past three seasons. That's become obvious now.
