2014 Nissan Versa Note hatchback has dropped 320 pounds and downsized to a 1.6-liter from a 1.8-liter engine to achieve 35 mpg combined. Nissan is recalling 12,743 units from the 2014 Versa Note model class. Bolts in the lower body sill and the rear seatback latches were not properly tightened or are missing. The recall for the subcompact hatchback affects cars built in Mexico before July 5 and distributed mainly in North America, according to The Detroit News. The Note, as its known elsewhere, was redesigned and slimmed down for 2014.
