The postseason specifically the wild-card game makes no sense at all anymore.

Realignment into three divisions was much-needed when Atlanta was in the NL West etcetera etcetera...
There's no point in a tiebreaker with a 163rd game. With realignment came 19 games by divisional opponents, to determine divisional pennants, reference the 2005 season Boston and the Yankees, both teams won 95 games and New York won the pennant due to kicking Boston's ass more often than not.

Now we have a 163rd game to determine what is unnecessary. Four NL teams playing one too many unnecessary games, followed by a wild-card bullshit...

This shit doesn't make sense anymore.

In my humble opinion the four best teams in both leagues should be in the playoffs. If this were the case the NL East would not be represented, and neither would the AL Central...

Why did Madden use a pinch hitter (Gore), with one career hit In 16 career at-bats since 2014, .063 Lifetime Career B'Avg. To fake a HPB...???

Why is he even wearing a MLB uniform??
Was he in a Cubs uniform to be a scapegoat for failure to advance into the postseason.

I guess the depth of the Cubs bench isn't so deep...
I wonder what Epstein was thinking on this one...

Happy for Matt Holliday the ancient Rocky getting a chance to come back and contribute. Always liked his game appreciate what he did for the Yankees in '17 adding leadership and good vibes in the Clubhouse. I was hoping the Rockies would knock LA out of the division but not to be, Brewers/Rockies good matchup which will probably produce a good series. Dodgers & Braves are of no interest to me.
