One problem with CK in the past is he's too often been overly dependent on the loopdeloop hanging curve for his Outpitch. For yrs CK can easily be had; when opposing hitters sit on the hanging meatball curve. Deja Vu of Matt Adams 2014 NLDS, 2 on 0 outs, Adams deposits a 3Run/HR, and here comes what??? the loop de loop hanging curve... Cardinals down 2-0, Final Score Cards 3/Bums 2... 2015 NLDS, CK vs D. I bet the Brewers would sure love to have Zack Greinke back. Zack Greinke was traded from the Royals to the Brewers with one other player (Y. Betancourt), and Kansas City obtained 5 players in return, one being Lorenzo Cain. Greinke was then traded from the Brewers to the Angels in return for 3 players, two nobodies and Jean Segura also a nobody... Ironic how the Brewers re-obtained Lorenzo Cain. Imagine if Zack Greinke we're on this Brewers pitching stuff. We wouldn't be seeing Gio Gonzalez.
I’m happy for Brewers fans. Hoping their team moves on to the World Series. Does anyone remember the Milwaukee Braves of Warren Spahn & Lou Burdette? It was a time when starting pitching meant something to the team and its fans! Their manager in 1964 was Bobby Bragan, a real character as most were then. The staff also consisted of Tony Cloninger, Denny Lemaster, Bob Sadowski to name a few that I recall. Pitching meant something in those days. Oh, and did I mention that they could hit......even better than some regular players in today’s lineups in MLB. Yeah, it’s been awhile since a Milwaukee team had a chance at the World Series. They were last in the World Series in 1982 when they were the American League representative vs. St. Louis Cardinals. Milwaukee lost the Series in 7 games that year. Their history is deep. I forgot to mention before the Braves moved to Milwaukee, they were known as the Boston Braves. You see where I’m going with this?
Machado hits a solo home run in his first at-bat vs Gonzales. Kiki Hernandez hits Gonzalez hard a foot or 3 short of a home run. Gio is being hit hard. Gonzalez has never been a true strike out artist. Woodruff replaces Gonzalez to start the third inning. I guess Council has little faith in Gio, WTF did they pick him up for it. I love those Harvey Wallbangers of 1982. Back then I still enjoyed watching the Angels. It was a hell of an ALCS in 1982. It didn't bother me the Halos lost, although I wanted to see the singing Cowboy win the BIG one before he died. (1986 the year I damn near burned my wife's Angels starter coat, Jersey, turtleneck, hat Etc). I was so beyond pissed when Gene Mauch pulled Bobby Witt from the mound in game 5 of the 86 ALCS. I knew from that moment on the Angels would not go to the World Series. Only one thing worse than a Yankees losing, is the Red Sox winning. I literally had her Angel Garb in a pile in the garage, and was holding a can of lighter fluid getting ready to pour it on the pile when she walked in the door. I enjoyed the 1982 Harvey Wallbangers though. The 1982 World Series the world series of beer. Strohs, Schlitz, Erlanger & Old Milwaukee versus Anheuser Busch. The very first World Series I watched with my Newly Wed wife, 1982. One of the very best pitching duels if not the very best pitching tools I have ever seen, Warren Spahn vs Juan Marichal. Perhaps the most incredible pitching duel in the history of baseball, when I will never forget. regardless of this games outcome, I'm gonna have a blast rubbing Yasmani Grandal's pitiful perfomance in the local Bums Fans faces.. I've been saying since Grandal arrived, he's a Minor Lg Catcher at best. Instead of a runner on 3rd and 2nd with 2 outs, and a brilliant diving catch, robbing a smoking hit line drive by D. Freese, due to Grandal's Catchers interference, it was bases loaded and 1 Out. Followed by a Sacrifice fly to CF/Bellinger, who threw home errantly, and Grandal misplayed the throw; roflol... I'd love to see Stanton return to LA where he was raised. He lettered in 3 sports, fb, bb, and basketball, imo his best performances were in order- 1- football 2- basketball 3- baseball at Notre Dame Prep in Sherman Oaks, California, best known for his touchdown catches and booming punts with the Knights football team and his 21-point average on the basketball court. He was a .200 hitter as a junior, No. 7 in the batting order, not exactly the stuff that impresses college coaches or Major League Baseball scouts. He knew he'd have a short career, even if he was successful in Football, he'd of made a bundle of $$$ perhaps, but have that Short Career.... Basketball, he perfomed at a high level in high school, yet at 6'7" he'd of never made a strong forward, or a high scoring guard.... Baseball, the sport he excelled in least. He chose MLB and screwed us all....

It's hard to believe the Brewers won 96 games and were the best team in the National League. Thru June, July and August they won 40 games and lost 39... The bums lost six consecutive games to the very lowly Cincinnati Reds this year. The Reds manhandled the Bums & they didn't just beat them; they beat the shit out of them. Wasn't that long ago the local LA sports news went from bombasting the blue crew who Won 25 & Lost 28 from April-May.
