Nov 14 - Talk has circulated that the Cavaliers were working on a buyout of veteran point guard Eric Snow's contract. His agent, Steve Kauffman, said that's not the case.

"There was never any serious consideration to a buyout," he said.

Snow lives in Atlanta with his family in the offseason. There were some preliminary trade talks between the Cavs and the Hawks last summer, but nothing could be worked out.

[*]According to a source, the Cavs have no interest in buyout talks, either.

The Cavs have had trade talks involving Snow, including with the Hawks, a source said, but nothing is imminent. Next year, in the final year of Snow's contract, when he's to be paid $7.3 million, he probably will become a key trading asset for the Cavs. -- Akron Beacon-Journal
