When the Bulls drafted Kevin Seraphin at No. 17 in the first round of June's draft and subsequently traded him to the Wizards, early speculation from some was the team may keep him over in Europe and let his game develop.

But last month, he reached a buyout with his French club and signed with the Wizards.

Bullets Forever translated and summarized a recent Basket USA interview with Seraphin, and it looks like he resolved to staying up in the league all season.

"Knoepffler asked Seraphin if the Wizards discussed the possibility of playing in the D-League," Bullets Forever wrote. "Seraphin's response, according to the translation, was 'Absolutely not!'

"It appears that the Wizards were one of a few teams he met with pre-draft, which did not discuss with him the possibility of assigning him to the D-League. The goal appears to be for him to develop with the big team."

While Seraphin may not have been told of spending any time in D-League, we'll take a wait-and-see approach on this.

Though he has athleticism and size, he's only 20, and talent evaluators have said he needs some more polish to his game before he can make an impact.

Of course, Seraphin can develop his game in the NBA. Add to it that the Wizards are reportedly high on him, and he may very well never see time in the D-League.
