Nov 1 - The long negotiations regarding a contract extension for 76ers swingman Andre Iguodala came to a frustrating conclusion last night.

The two sides had until midnight to come to an agreement. Now, they cannot reopen negotiations until July 1, according to NBA rules.

"I talked to Rob Pelinka about an hour ago, and now it is up to them," Billy King said, referring to Iguodala's agent. "The indication was that they weren't going to accept the offer."

[*]The two sides weren't that far apart on a 5-year extension. The Sixers, in their final offer, were thought to have put a package on the table worth slightly more than the 5-year, $55 million contract signed by Kevin Martin, of the Sacramento Kings. Pelinka was said to be asking roughly $3 million more.

"I'm letting Rob do the work," Iguodala said after the game. "You can never be too hopeful it gets done or it doesn't get done. You never know. It's kind of up and down. One day, it looks pretty good; the next day, it doesn't. Now, it's minute by minute, up and down, like a roller coaster, and I'm trying to stay level with it." -- Philadelphia Daily News
