Lets not get carried away its a rumour but it makes the most amount of sense out of any of the deal
Raps get Hill+Scola+ a pick (possible) for Bosh
Both teams will be happy cuz Rockets will have Martin, Ariza, Battier, Bosh, Ming
and Raptors will be VERY multicultural

Hmm I guess it can make sense if Bynum or Ming comes off the bench.

    Scola's pretty decent too.

Isn't Scola a free agent? So we'd have to sign a 29-year old power forward as part of the deal? Doesn't sound likely to me.

I guess if we thought he could play centre it wouldn't be as bad but a Bargnani/Scola frontline is a bit worrisome.

Hill is a decent prospect. Doubt we'd get Hill and a pick (14th) in the deal--probably one or the other.

Sign-and-trade deals rarely (ever?) wind up with the team losing the player getting much back in return.

No Scola, that would not be an upgrade at all. Do the smart thing and Keep Bosh.

What's there to be happy about? It's Scola. He's hardly a star player.

If they trade for Scola I'll have to assume they barely got a decent sign and trade proposal. So at least they're getting something.

My thoughts exactly. I would much rather get Bynum but i don't know how likely that is

i love rumours, its what keeps basketball writers employed during the offseason. today, doug smith ruminated on the possibility of the raps using their entire mle on ray allen.

it wouldn't be the 14th pick, it would be next year's first. i could see both going. and the rockets signing and trading scola wouldn't hurt them in any way, so that'd basically be up to the raptors. i'm sure the rockets would be fine with it as having bosh eliminates any need for scola.

the rockets also have jeffries and battier's expiring contracts that could be moved in a deal(either to take a contract from the raptors or to give them additional trade pieces at the deadline).

the rockets have a lot of resources to go after bosh with and a brooks/martin/ariza/bosh/yao starting lineup would be awesome.

I actually want Bosh to go to the Rockets, that way two of the teams I like to root for would be in better positions. The Raptors can focus on rebuilding and finding a true #1 guy and the Rockets get a solid piece to play with Yao.
