Come on, 24 (7-14) and 20 with 5 assists and 1 TO against the East leading team with Artest and O'Neal? That's awesome. If you wanted the future, there it is. Get Dunleavy some help and we are on to something. Really. Neither JRich, Cardinal, or Pietrus is ever, ever going to get 20 and 20. I know, consistency, but that is huge. If the Warriors ever let this guy get away, its going to be worse than anyone since Webber.

I'm excited for Dunleavy's future as well. Lets not get too carried away though, Dunleavy has not been consistent this year. We all know what he is capable of. J-Rich has been a lot more consistent than Dunleavy. Cardinal seems to have lost some confidence shooting the ball but his heart is still there. I just love Pietrus.

Dunleavy showed some good signs but man I wish he could finish around the basket a lot better. He jacked up a reverse layup when he he could have slowed down and just shot it over the point guard. And as for Cardinal's non-existent shooting, he is still the man. I'd be upset if there was zero production coming from him. At least he goes after loose balls, draws charges, and gets to the free throw line and makes them. Plus he gets the crowd into it when he does something that turns the game around. Same with Pietrus. I'd look to putting those two in whenever there is a home game because they are so aggressive and determined.

Yea, I still love Cardinal in the game. He just seems to be really struggling offensively, and it showed in the first half when he missed all of his wide open jump shots and even air balled an open three.

You guys are horrible. This is the best game of his career in almost 2 years of play. 1 game. Cardinal has almost done the same thing and Damp has done it a few time himself. Does that mean we should build a team around those players too? No. It is one game. Most of the scrubs in the nba have had 1 good game. Dunleavy scored 32 point in like the first game of the season. Who cares? It has not happened again so far. Relax. Props to Dun for having an solid rebounding game over a smaller opponent. And for scoring a decent amount of points. 5 assists, that is not good for a starting pg, but is what I expect out of him every night from the sf position. 1 to wow, start the presses. Put this into perspective compared to other players in the league, not dunleavy's measley stats this season. Good game, now do it again. If he can not, then who cares. Even Jamison backed up his 50 pt game the next night plus a win. Dunleavy did not score 50 pts, he scored 24 points. Jamison has had 20/20 games before where is he now? He had a decent night overall. Now if he scores 30-40 tomorrow I will be impressed. But he has to back it up. No going 1-7 from the field next game.

You make it sound like anyone can have a 20/20 game. I just checked and neither Shaq nor Yao has not had one yet this year (but Boozer, Mark Blount, Brand, and Zach Randolph have). Yes its one game. Trying to compare to Jamison's 50/50 is unfair, maybe 5 people in the history of the NBA have ever done that. I take Dunleavy's game for what it is, a sterling performance against one of the top teams in the league.

Jamison got 50 points but how many rebounds did he get? You said 50/50. It couldn't have been 50 boards.

Who knows maybe this is the beginning of something special for Dunleavy. Maybe he can be a Grant Hill type of player. They both played sf at Duke ya know...

Doh! Should have read more carefully. I'm kind of sneaking and peaking and sometimes skip some details and only look at the numbers.

I hope he's not a Grant Hill player. He'd be riding the injured list all season. [IMG]

    Joke BTW.

Warriorsfansnc93- We are just giving Dunleavy props for having an awesome game against the best team in the Eastern Conference. It wasn't a coincidence he had a 20/20 game, it takes someone special to do that.

I like Mike just fine, but I don't think there is any comparison between the two. Grant Hill was on a level all his own. IMO Grant is one of the top 5 players of the 90's. That cat was amazing.

Where does Dunleavy fit on the Warriors when they are all healthy? He's not going to play pointguard or point forward when Speedy is healthy. My hope for Dunleavy is that he can be money from the outside and at least get some sort of a post up game. He is very bad around the rim.

"Get Dunleavy some help and we are on to something. Really. Neither JRich, Cardinal, or Pietrus is ever, ever going to get 20 and 20."

And why the heck are you crying for Dunleavy to get some help? I know Dunleavy had a nice game, but it was Pietrus(and Foyle) who turned the game around. When Pietrus was in the Warriors were down by 7 and making a come back in the first half. Pietrus got taken out and the lead went to about 26. Pietrus went back in with Foyle and the lead went down to 4 or 6. Pietrus might never get 20 points and 20 rebounds, but Pietrus is going to get wins with his defense and the little things. When Pietrus is in there the whole defense is so much better. I remember in the first half Cheaney was playing very nanchalant(or however you spell that word) which wasn't a big surprise after having strept throat. But once he came back in during the 2nd half, he was even playing with a lot more intensity because of Pietrus and Foyle.

And Jason Richardson has already proved several times that he is a lot better than Dunleavy. If Dunleavy was faced with the same defense that JRich was getting, Dunleavy would had done absolutely nothing.

I like Dunleavy and if he can step it up like last night, for most of the games, then i think he will be a good player. But right now i just think the starters should be Speedy/JRich/Pietrus/Murphy and maybe Foyle(depending on the offseason). And then i think Dunleavy could be a great type of player coming of the bench. But that's just how i see this team being in the future. That Speedy/JRich/Pietrus trio would(or i guess could) be deadly. Maybe the Warriors trade Dunleavy to trade up to get Okafor or Nelson? I don't know, it's just an idea.

I think Dunleavy will fit in very nicely when the Warriors are all healthy. He will be able to play HIS game and therefore be more of a factor. Speedy, J-Rich, Dunleavy, Murphy, Dampier. Thats a pretty damn good line-up.

Dunleavy seemed comfortable with the ball last night, that's all we can ask of him. But the thing is it seems like Cardinal is a little hesitant with it now, so who knows. Mike had a great game and it was fun watching him do what he did in high school, playing the point. I think its good that he's getting some time leading the team. Its always valuable having another ball handler on the floor with a "real" point guard, especially since JRich at the other guard position isn't as effective when handling the rock.

Props to Dunleavy, lets just hope for continued effort and confidence. Oh yeah, and I loved the Pietrus on the point D and the flying frenchman dunks.
