Re: No! No! No! http://nfl.com/teams/story/SEA/9334963 The off-season was going so well and then. Bam. We lose one of the most importent keys to next year. Nate Burleson. Our best slot reciver. You can say all you want he sucked last year but he wasnt playing as a slot reciver and he also wasnt playing in a west cost offense system were slot recivers do best in. Burleson would have easily gotten over 1000 yards this year with the WCO system but no. Seattle had to be a dick. We'll I guess this is how seattle felt when we signed Steve. But I am glad we got Huch over Nate but still. Ow.
Re: No! No! No! You guys got Troy Williamson man.. He better start for you guys because im telling you he will be a threat deep.. Hope he starts

I donno...But losing Burleson would be bad for the Vikings and an excellent signing for the 'hawks.
Re: No! No! No! NFL.com wire reports SEATTLE (March 24, 2006) -- The Seattle Seahawks signed Vikings receiver Nate Burleson to an offer sheet for a seven-year contract. Seven years i a lot.Dont the Vikes have to play them this season ?
Re: No! No! No! According to John Clayton..."If Burleson plays 5 or more games in the state of Minnesota in 2006, the entire deal is guaranteed."
Re: No! No! No! Yeah, i heard about that....basically a way to ensure the Vikings wont match because the deal is heavily backloaded with money he wont see in Seattle, but with Minnesota they would be forced to pay it.In reality, its only like a 4 year, 15 mill deal or something with the other 35 million coming over the last 3 years.
Re: No! No! No! Take him then. We got Hutch and a 3rd round pick.
Re: No! No! No! Burleson is not that great anyways. He isn't worth 7 mil a year with all the money guaranteed.Let Koren Robinson be the #1 and have Williamson and Travis Taylor fight for the 2nd string. Use Marcus Robinson as a red zone threat. The vikings are in pretty good shape at WR.
Re: No! No! No! that kind of deal is such crap...it pretty much says"if u play for us, you get a lot of money. But if u play for anyone else, they pay 50 million dollars extra"its a little underhanded

Re: No! No! No! I don't understand why they didn't match it anyways. They have plenty of money. They were 30M under the cap before the new CBA, and w/ the new CBA and trading away Culpepper, they had more money. And what if the Seahawks play the Vikings in Minnesota 5 times over the course of the deal, then his contract would be gaurenteed

Re: No! No! No! Burleson was a big loss but with Koren Robinson stepping up at the end of the season he can be a big threat deep along with Williamson once he gets a little bit more experience. In a few years the vikings offense will be as dangerous as it was in the days with Moss Culpepper and Carter.

Not saying Robinson and Williamson dont have potential, but they will never be at that level.
Re: No! No! No! Yea they wont be at that level but they can be a dangerous combo like they were though 2 of the best WR's in history were on the same offense it wont be like that again but they could be one of the most feared duo's in the nfl.

That is pretty ridiculous to compare the two at this point. Moss and Carter were amazing. Two hall of famers.
